We organised our Christmas meal at the Old Brewery Tavern, lets just start with this, it does not look old (the decor is very last year), there is no Brewery, and its not what you call a tavern, these are the 3 first problems but far from the worst.
I arrived at the establishment for my annual Christmas meal with work colleagues, I started with a soup which was no unpleasant but I have no idea what it was to taste of because it so bland. The Christmas Turkey had slightly more flavor but the 2 spouts and couple of pieces of carrot/parsnip left me wanting more, so I was looking forward to the cheeseboard. That had a small piece of cheddar, brie and Stilton with a few crackers and a 10th of an apple!
Coffee arrive and I got 1/2 a cup, but at least it tasted of coffee unlike the first two courses which were bland. There were long gaps between courses and the service was very lacking. It took them many hours to get through this and they hurried us out because they were more interested in the night club at this time which was at 10pm.
For £30 I think was a complete waste of money, this company does not care about is customers and is just interested in volume, I would not advised anyone to go there it and is to be avoided. The food and establishment is like its name, not what it seems. If you want a bland, hurried meal with no atmosphere and to be sold something it isn't this may be the place for you.
