“Lovely Building & Nice Decor, But...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2014

Although this is a lovely building (once the main post office then a bookshop) and a really spacious restaurant with nice decor, I find this place rather bland and predictable. You know you are in a chain. It is not bad and because of the size it is a good venue for larger groups. The food is perfectly good and the staff usually pleasant, but I can't get away from the feeling that it is like every other Prezzo. Average.

“Ok food: poor service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2014

After ringing Prezzo to book a table for valentines day I was Informed that six o,clock was their only remaining time available, despite booking over a week in advance. When we arrived at Prezzo however it didn't seem that busy at all, considering how crammed they were supposedly meant to be. We were greeted by what seemed to be the manager, who was rude and obnoxious. He made us feel that we were out of place in his restaurant as students. The food however was somewhat better than the service but nothing special to right home about. It felt as if we were at the end of an assembly line; being served our next meal with hardly any time to so much as swallow the previous one. That said however that are a few attentive and welcoming members of staff, and their set menu for valentines day was good value for money. This would of been the third time I've been to Prezzo and was markedly unimpressed each time.

“Awful staff! Okay food.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2014

The food is okay, pretty standard Italian food. Quite a nice atmosphere and nice decour. However, what really lets Prezzo down is some of their staff, and I do only mean some. A few of the staff are really lovely and attentive. The manager, however, is not. He is quite possibly the rudest man I have come across, he is in no way welcoming and makes you feel like a burden for coming into his restaurant.
My boyfriend and I went on Valentines day but still he was as miserable as ever. He really is off putting. I have been to this Prezzo three times now and the only time I really enjoyed it was when he was not there.
Also they seemed to want to get us in and out very quickly on Valentines, dispite the fact that they had many empty tables.
The first time going to this Prezzo we waited about half and hour for a jug of water, dispite asking three times. It really needs a shake up of some of its staff ASAP!!

“Good food and a nice ambience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2014

As a family, we like Prezzo. It is so much better value than, say, Pizza Express which operates in a similar space on British high streets. For a start, the children's menu provides a Pizza that it the same size as an adult pizza at Pizza Express and this goes down well with a hungry child. The range of food is good; they seem to have food that they can do well without being too ambitious. It isn't gourmet food but it is decent for the price. The Canterbury branch has a nice decor and we sat close to the wood burning pizza oven which was welcome on a chilly day. There is lots of art on the walls which gives it a colourful sensation and at the front of the restaurant, a nice lounge area for people that are waiting for a table. All in all, a good experience and we will definitely return at some point.
