Echoing all the other reviews, I had a luxurious and decadent stay! I was travelling on my own for work and was made to feel so welcome and looked after. Sarah was so friendly and happy to do anything to make me feel at home.

Sarah cooked me a delicious vegetarian breakfast too, delicious and hearty.

It was a delight to stay somewhere with such easy and generous hospitality. Now I am trying to think of more reasons to go to Hertford so that I can take my family and my swimming costume!

Staying in this fabulous guest house for one night was amazing,we booked a family room which was of the highest possibe standards.Large ensuite which is beautiful, super kingsize bed was so comfortable.Fridge which was filled with a large selection of acholol and non acholol drinks at no extra cost.Marcus and Sarah were the perfect hosts nothing was to much trouble,in fact when our taxi which sarah had booked for us didn't arrive Sarah kindly drove us into town which was so thoughtful of her.As a family we would highly recommend Appletree B&B which is situated in a lovely quiet area with stunning views.

We booked via email, and this was very efficient. Our arrival was late (11PM), but our hostess Sarah kindly waited up. We had booked the family room, which as a super kingsize doulbe, and (at its foot end) a sofabed (also oversized for 1 person). THe white linnens are very pretty.
The room itself has everything you could ask for. Wifi is free and fast. The fridge has soft drinks and even a bottle of white wine, all of which are included (red wine on the desk, too). Last but not least, the bathroom is very spacious (unusual for a B&B), and the bath tub huge. For shower lovers: rain shower and hand shower heads both available, but it is in the bath tub, and there is no curtain to stop you from soaking the whole bath room.
We slept very well, though the bed is on the soft side on each side (the middle is more firm).
BReakfast is downstairs in the very large family living room with beautiful open kitchen. We wnet for the classical breakfast and toast, which was nice. Good selection of cereals; no big choice beyond that.
Overall one of the nicest B&B we stayed in during the last few months.

When entering this stunning B&B, the hosts were more than welcoming. We were shown our room and my gosh it was magnificent! It had everything you could possibly need; En-Suite, Fridge, Large TV and lots of additional 'extras' that the Hosts tell you they won't charge you for. That is what we found was the greatest thing about this hidden gem, nothing was too much to ask for. We will definitely be telling our friends and family and hopefully book for the summer when the pool is turned on! Thanks Marcus and Sara for such a great stay!

Room Tip: The Top floor "Penthouse" is worth the extra money with a great En-Suite and stunning view...

Very welcoming and friendly owners, lovely place to stay, nice quiet area but still within range of shops. Really enjoyed my weekend, couldn't say a bad word about Appletree B&B, I would definitely visit again.

Room Tip: The top floor room has a lovely view.

Many thanks to Sarah and Marcus for a wonderful stay in their big beautiful B&B. The B&B is clean, modern, homely and decorated beautifully. Breakfast was freshly cooked to the time we chose and it was a pleasure to have such great hosts. The room had gorgeous complimentary wine, drinks and treats and the presentation made us feel like royalty. We were even treated so when Sarah saved the day by driving us into Hertford town centre and giving us a tour of the town and good advice of the best restaurants. The room we had was heaven and unbelievable value for money, we had the penthouse, their luxury suite, so had a whole floor, with our own bathroom and a super kingsize bed and all for less than a standard room in a travelodge!!

Would recommend to anyone, and so glad that we got to stay here. A definite MUST!

Room Tip: The top room was amazing! But you can tell all the rooms are of the same standard.

The owners of Appletree B&B gave us a warm welcome and left us feeling looked after and cared for. It was a last minute booking for us, a family of four, and we stayed in a large room which accommodated us nicely. There were lots of added luxuries in the room which we did not expect, like wine and a selection of drinks. The room was lovely and warm and the bathroom luxurious with a large roll top bath, lots of toiletries available to use too! We had a delicious breakfast in the morning with lots of things to choose from. The B&B is in a nice area close to Hertford town centre which is where we went out for the night. Home from home, all in all a really lovely experience, would definitely stay again.
