“Brilliant food!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013 via mobile

I recently visited this pub in the half term with my two children and fiancé and thought it was fab! Although the prices were quite high the food quality and atmosphere was at a high standard. Will be visiting again!

“Weekday Lunch”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

Irish Stew. Tasteless, nasty cornflour thickened sauce. Dumplings uncooked in the middle, you could not get a knife through them..Avoid at all costs

“Lovely little pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

This old, pretty pub is set right next to the river. I have eaten here on a few occasions and the food is great, well priced and good choice of beer/cider. It is great in the summer.

I had the Irish stew which, having had the dish in Ireland on many occasions, bore little resemblance

“Great Burgers!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

The location is smashing, still central but out of the main thoroughfare and it really is beautiful during the day, regardless of the season. The staff are so accommodating and bend over backwards to help with everything. The menu offers lots of choice at what I would describe as proper pub prices, it's not over inflated and you get a decent portion size without the plate being overtaken with decorative rocket and baby spinach.
