“A superb B&B in a beautiful location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2010

We stayed at Little Acre for our daughter’s wedding at Much Marcle and Hellens Manor for two nights together with the bride on her wedding eve and her bridesmaids. We could not have chosen a more comfortable and luxurious place to stay, nor better hosts. Attention to detail is evident throughout the beautifully restored house and the bedrooms in the design and furnishings, and attentive hosts Nicola and Jeffrey ensure that their guests have absolutely everything they need, and nothing is too much trouble. The beds are supremely comfortable, and the views and location beautiful. The breakfasts are truly excellent, with a superb choice of locally produced home cooked delights, and the best local apple juice we have ever tasted. The most perfect home away from home for the best day ever!

My partner and I agree that this B&B was the best we have stayed in. The decor was the perfect combination of classic and modern, the bath and the views were superb and we had a very restful sleep in the comfortable bed. Even above and beyond the decor and comfort, Nicola and Jeffery provided faultless service - they seem to have thought of everything - including a small torch available for us to borrow for use at the country wedding venue we were visiting. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, setting us up for a day of exploring Herefordshire. Don't hesitate to book!

Little Acre is everything you could hope for in a quality B&B: set in a scenic and quiet location (but within easy distance to places of interest), tastefully decorated bedrooms (with personal touches, character and great views), and friendly and helpful hosts. Nicola and Jeffrey are a lovely warm couple whose hospitality is exceptional; they welcome you with tea and cake and spoil you rotten during your stay. They are happy to advise you on places to eat and visit (there is a day book which gives guest’s reviews on eateries) and they really go that extra mile to make your stay perfect. Breakfast is an absolute feast and sets you up for the whole day – most of the produce is locally sourced and includes Nicola’s delicious homemade bread, preserves and apple pancakes (have these with maple syrup and cinnamon sugar – Mmmm!)
If you want your stay in beautiful Herefordshire to be really special then you just have to book at Little Acre!
Thanks, Nicola and Jeffrey for making our stay so enjoyable – Lisa & Rob.

We followed the excellent reviews on here and booked 2 nights. If you want a comfortable, clean, friendly, and tasty (brekkie) luxury B and B this is it. Faults? Well there were no herds of wilderbeast running across the plains when you opened the curtains...but if you can tolerate that then Little Acre should not disappoint !

Nicola and Jeffrey gave us a warm welcome when we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. We were greeted with a lovely cup of tea and home made cake. The rooms were beautifully furnished and had every comfort you could think of , from fluffy dressing gowns to cafetierre coffee and bottles of mineral water. Breakfast was sumptuous and bountiful, with locally sourced products and home made jams.
I would highly recommend Little Acre as it is a real gem set in a beautiful location. I cannot fault anything about our stay as we had a wonderful time in spotless, luxurious surroundings, warm friendly hosts, and the best breakfast in Herefordshire!

Little Acre is definitely the best B&B we have stayed in. A beautiful house in gorgeous Herefordshire countryside where there is total peace and quiet. Nicola and Jeffrey are a lovely couple who end up feeling more like friends than hosts, always attentive but never pushy and both with a great sense of humour. Our room was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean with a really comfy bed and an amazing shower in the en-suite! Everything is provided from soft fluffy towels to a constant supply of choccies.
The breakfasts are amazing - all prepared with quality fresh ingredients - and Nicola's pancakes are a must. From the moment we arrived and were greeted with a plate of freshly baked muffins and a pot of tea, we were able to unwind, relax and recharge. We would recommend Little Acre to anyone and hope to be back before too long.
