Gives the impression that vegetarian food hasn't changed since 1980. It's healthy, but serves the kind of nosh I put up with when I first went vegetarian (e.g. mashed potato and spinach burger with grated carrot and chickpea salad). The coffee is great, the service friendly enough and the yard is a chilled, attractive place to linger with a friend, though the indoor part of the cafe is cramped. Huge noticeboard by the door listing events and groups.
We had two mains and two hot drinks and it set us back £15, which was OK, though not great value. The cake counter was well-stocked, though the only vegan options were date slice and fruitcake, which looked tasty.
A more up to date menu with things like wraps, vegan pies, falafel and better salads would make me go back.
