Just returned from a 2 night tipi/canoe adventure with 3 friends.... From the moment we arrived to the sad moment we had to leave,we couldn't have asked for a better experience... We were greeted by Steve, the owner, and shown to our tipi... He was very welcoming and gave a brief but comprehensive instruction on how everything worked... The tipi was equipped with absolutely everything you need for a camping holiday, plenty of logs for the fires, charcoal for the barbecues and even a gas ring!... We didn't need any of the pots, pans etc that we had brought, it was all provided, including the corkscrew! ;)... The futons were very comfortable with plenty of really warm sleeping bags and fresh liners and pillowcases... We cooked our dinner and spent a beautiful evening stargazing.... The next day we were driven to the launch site for the canoeing and had a wonderful leisurely trip back, stopping for a picnic and a swim along the way... Then back to the tipi for another relaxing evening sitting watching the sun go down and the stars come out... All of us were totally blown away by the fantastic experience we had, the place is breathtakingly beautiful, the tipis are so comfortable and well equipped, the weather was amazing and the river trip was awesome!... But the best thing about our stay was the customer service!... Steve was the perfect host, very helpful, friendly and informative... We are definitely going back again! :).

We took our family of 5 on a tipi adventure and had a fantastic time. The tipi was fab. It was Hugh a lot bigger than expected with 3 double futons and a single, sheepskin rugs, a fire pit in the middle and a table with basket with crockery, pans etc. Everything was provided and well thought out. The bloke who met us and showed us to our tipi was very helpful as were the rest of the staff. They made time to chat to the children, let them borrow teddy with life jacket, let us do a taster canoe session as the children too young for a full day on the water... It was brilliant. We managed to work the smoke flaps and enjoyed roasting marshmellows and boiling water for hot chocolate whilst tucked up in bed. It was super. Get booking.

I was lucky enough to win a free nights stay and even luckier to book such a sunny weekend to go on.
Great communication though out the whole booking process and arrival.
When we arrived we were driven to out tipi with out belongings (we could have easily walked as the tipi was not too far- but was great being driven, made to feel very welcome). We were then given a very well delivered and informed talk about how to work everything.
When we went inside the tipi we were amazed- it's massive and so cosy.
The tipis have everything you need and more.
We spent the afternoon playing with our children in the beautiful surroundings- was great to spend time as a family with no technology in sight.
We spent the evening having a bbq.
Steve then came round checking everyone was happy and had everything they needed. He even went and fetched us some marshmallows ( massive bonus points)! When the sun went down we lit the outdoor fire and toasted our marshmallows- perfect ending to a great day.
Steve and his staff went above and beyond we had a fantastic experience and we will not hesitate to book again in the very near future!
Thank you tipi adventure :)

Enjoyed a two night stay with tipi adventures in Hereford. If you fancy something a little different, then this is for you..fun, exciting, beautiful location, accommodating & helpful staff, activities like kayaking down the river or archery optional but just enjoying the sights & a 'back to nature' experience is fab too...

definitely recommend & already in process of organising another trip but will make sure the alarm clock wakes me up this time for the river canoeing work-out...what can I say, I was that relaxed I slept through it lol

Currently enjoying a 2 night break on Tipi Adventure. Don't normally wrote reviews but we have been so impressed with the great conception, good value for money and exceptional customer service, I thought I would pen a few words. Trip bought for me as a present and was a but concerned about the lack of communication during the booking process. Was unable to reach by phone on a couple of occasions and no ability to leave voicemail to be called back. Felt a but hit and miss. However arrived to be greeted by Steve the manager who had been phoning to check our arrival time. He was cheerful and very helpful indeed in getting us settled in well and quickly. You get a great briefing on starting fire, adjusting the 'flaps' and all the mid cons you have available in your tipi. Everything is clean, very very well equipped (everything you need and usually forget on a camping trip!!) down to washing up liquid, tea towels, tea lights, cool box with blocks, bin bags etc. I was very impressed. Also all your logs, charcoal, water, matches, firefighters are brought to your tenant, a fresh supply supplied every day. The main showers (brilliantly hot) and toilets are very cleAn compared to some of my camping experiences.

The tipis are really large inside so you feel you have lots of space and also spaced well apart from the next pitch. When your kids wake up early you don't feel like you are annoying those next door!

We chose to go on the canoe experience with our 2 young children. Brilliant! A few different lengths of journey to choose from. Fantastic briefing and really well find. Scenery is really beautiful and is a completely exciting nature adventure for young kids. Even the kids get a paddle to get them directly involved. You get a lift back to the site and it's a really relaxed well organised affair.

Free tea and coffee at the main office is a nice touch.
Toys available in central boxes in middle of tipis great eg balls, frisbee etc

It feels like nothing us too much trouble (we forgot our camping light and were lent a lamp from the site) - and the whole experience is great.

A must for families to have a unique weekend adventure away.

Stayed with Tipi Adventure this weekend for a hen do. Loved the tipi, the provisions inside were great. The canoeing was lots of fun, and staff were really helpful and explained how everything worked really well.

However when they're giving the instructions on how to use canoes and they say that it doesn't happen a lot and is really rare, take it with a massive pinch of salt and be careful, it happened to two of our group and three times in the group that went before us.

Also check the dry bags that they give you for your belongings before you use them; it turned out that one of our dry bags wasn't so dry after all. In fact it had a massive great big hole in it and when the canoe capsized and it ended up in the water, over £2000 worth of mobile phones (which we were told to take with us in case we got lost/wanted to stay on anywhere a bit longer) were irreparably damaged as the bag was flooded. I understand that we'd signed a disclaimer absolving Tipi Adventure of all responsibility for the damaged property, but to not even get an apology from the manager on duty when we told him what happened is rude. Instead we were just told that the dry bags were "just called that, it doesn't mean they work".

Sadly a big downside to what was otherwise a pretty fun hen weekend!
