My wife and I enjoyed a two night stay at he Great House last week. I had pre-booked dinner for our first night, and this was so good that we immediately asked if we could dine in again on the second night.
The house has a long history and many fine features, and it has been upgraded with taste and careful attention to detail. The level of comfort and amenity is matched by the hosts' warmth and charm.
Our room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the bathroom very well equipped and WiFi available.
Tom and Jane have transformed the gardens over the last fifteen years, with topiary, an elegant rectangular pond, and tiered lawns, shrubs and borders.
We travel regularly and have stayed in many fine houses in the Wolsey Lodge group, and this is one of the best. The hosts are welcoming, the food and wine first class, and the level of comfort and relaxation exceptional. Highly recommended!
