Overall this was a good positive family experience. My son, whose birthday it was chose the venue because it was Italian. We were warmly greeted and got a good table for our group. The service was attentive without being overbearing and once our orders were taken everything arrived without dramas or delays.
The general assessment of our group was that the food was of good quality, served hot and well presented. Two of us had the entree of asparagus spears and were very pleased with how it turned out. The only meal that fell short of expectations was the tennis racket pasta which was unbalanced and represented the sort of thing I might do in my own kitchen if I was suddenly presented with unexpected guests for lunch, ie bulk out with extra pasta at the expense of the other ingredients! Not really what I expected. However, desserts and coffees were very pleasing. Sadly though there was no Strega in the house bar to go with my coffee and the waiter clearly did not know what it was which surprises me in an Italian restaurant.
The ambience was very pleasant and apart from these minor quibbles I was pleased with the results and will probably go again in the future.
