Description: Located on the High Street, we've created a restaurant with a distinctive new look inspired by modern Italian design. And with the help of our expert friends, including awarding-winning chef Theo Randall, we've created a menu that features a range of simple, classic Italian food and an all Italian wine list.

“Nice place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2014

The restaurant is really nicely laid out, and is very clean and well presented, the staff were good and attentive.

Hardly any food wait time, food arrived very quickly.

Main dish was really, really delicious but found puddings very dry.

“Dissappointing food, over priced”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2014

So, thought we'd try somewhere new but not particularly special occassion so wanted to keep price down.

Had very bright light hanging over our plastic table - not conducive to an evening meal.
Ordered Pollo Milanese - basically chicken breast breadcrumbed, with chips.
Chicken was horrible - watery and squishy - and those crisp breadcrumbs you might be looking for? No where - a thin layer of "breadcrumbs".

Basically, it was microwaved. Which is fine if you're paying £6-£8. But this dish was nigh on £13!

Want to splash out £10-£15 on a main course in Winchester - go to one of the many non-chain restaurants that will cook your food fresh.

Summary: overpriced, microwaved food, barely ripe tomatoes, chipped edge on glass, plastic decor, horrible lighting.... take your kids there, but for adults? - nope.

“Lovely food , friendly service, warm atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2014

We had a lovely meal here with our 8 and 5 year olds. The tables aren't crammed in and the children were treated well. Plenty of staff and they were attentive and friendly. The food was excellent. It had a warm atmosphere.

“Sale Shopping Meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2014

Stopped off here while shopping in Winchester for something to eat.

We were shown upstairs only to find that we were the only people upstairs, we were left to look at the menu, which while we were looking more people/families were shown upstairs.

We choose what we wanted & after a not unreasonably time our food arrived well cooked & hot. We enjoyed our food, which meant by the time we had finished the plates went back empty & our stomachs almost full. Not quite empty to try a dessert.

Yes we would return here for another meal when shopping in Winchester & would be willing to try a Ask Italian in another town/city.

“Decent food in a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

We visited here on a cold December evening looking for nothing more than a warm, dry place to stop at and a decent meal with a pleasant atmosphere and that's exactly what we got.

The staff were friendly and the food came quick.

The Pasta and Pizza's were delicious and the Calamari was enjoyable.

Prices were reasonable and we got what we paid for, all in all very satisfied with the meal.
