Having read all the great reviews on tripadvisor we chose to eat here & we were disappointed.
Firstly there is only house white or red by the glass - no other wines.
Starters - we choose crispy duck & pancakes - OK, not essentially Thai I know, but a real favourite. The meat could have been anything, in fact I'm not convinced it wasn't shredded pork.No sign of any bones or crispy skin.Plenty of pancakes, which was a plus. We also ordered a thai beef salad - another favourite of ours, although this one was a little "different" to ones we have eaten elsewhere. My first mouthfull was a thick lump of grisly raw beef that I had to spit out & which put me off the whole dish. All the meat was grey & undercooked & tough, & the salad itself was mainly carrot.
Mains were OK, but just OK, nothing particularly good about them, noodles were greasy & the " King & I special fried rice with chicken & crabmeat" actually contained prawns & squid, no chicken, no crab !! Sweet & sour tasted of sarsons malt vinegar..All 4 dishes for our main came at intervals, rather than together.
Service was OK, not brilliant, but not bad.
The restaurant is long & narrow, & every time anyone goes in or out you get a blast of cold air.
Prices are slightly above average, which for below average food left a bad taste.
Wouldn't go again.
