We stayed here in June following a cruise. We'd planned to stay prior to the cruise and booked before changing our travel plans and moved the booking to stay afterwards. There was no problem in moving the booking.
Although we arrived at 10.30 am the room was already available for us and we could move in straight away.
The room was spacious with plenty of room for my wife's wheelchair. The bathroom had a walk-in shower with seat.
The beds were extremely comfortable and extra pillows were available.
There wasn't a proper wardrobe to hang clothes in. Not really a problem on an overnight stay but not ideal if you intend to stay longer.
The facilities were meagre. There was a vending machine which had pot-noodles, chocolate and canned drinks. The nearest shops are a twenty-minute walk away. Luckily there was a carnival in the village that weekend otherwise I'd have been bored solid.
The choice for evening meal was limited but the food was very good. Except that at £8.95 for just a main course it was rather expensive for what it was.
The breakfast was a bit of a joke. We managed to get a bit of cereal, some toast and a hot drink.
The hotel was very full that night as there was a wedding party in but we were hardly disturbed at all. Checkout was a bit busy but the staff handled it very well and rang 11 different taxi firms for us before finding one that would take an electric wheelchair!
All in all we found it a pleasant place to stay for one night, but unless you have your own transport it is too isolated for an extended stay.
