Lived locally for t he past 45 years.
Chips here always seem exceptionally greasy but the portion size is good. This doesn't make them good value though.
The Chinese menu is the normal sort of thing but the quality is not terribly good and the sauces always seem to me to be "gloopy". They make my wife ill so I haven't used them for quite some time - longer than the date of my visit suggests.
I'd recommend going elsewhere. There's another down by the Malvern Hotel a little further down the hill along Winchester Road.
