“Great value for money, friendly staff...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

Came in with my family for an evening meal, drinks & food oders both taken in a timely manner by a friendly waitress. Were great with the kids, providing them with colouring etc... Great pub food at reasonable prices.

“How different”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Used to go here all the time for food! Haven't been for a few years, went back and was very disappointed! The food used to be great! Now there's no taste. The staff don't seem to be bothered at all.

“Chewy "steak"”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

Popped in for a quick business lunch so ordered an "easy" meal - steak baguette and chips. The chips were nice and hot but the "steak" was a chewy piece of thin beef with little taste. Staff didn't seem too bothered when I mentioned the problem, just a shrug of the shoulders and an insincere sorry. There must be better pubs nearby so I'd give this one a miss.

“Gone downhill since last visit”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013 via mobile

Came here for a Sunday roast today and was very disappointed, the food served was brought out moments after ordering; cold and in a tiny portion, the beef was exceptionally fatty and hard to chew and the potatoes were rock hard. A shame as this used to have one of the better roasts in the area, not recommended for Sunday at least.

“Sunday Roast horror”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

Four of us booked here for Sunday lunch. When we arrived the car park was probably half full, bonus we thought not too busy. The restaurant was only half full when we entered, again pleased so no delays with our food - or so we thought! 25 mins we waited for our starters, no warning of delays or apology. We then had to wait again for our mains, we had actually been in there an hour and 10 mins before they arrived. Our roast beef had to be sawn through, and was very chewy, when we turned the slices over they were very dry, looked like been kept warm for hours. Roast potatoes were also dry and Yorkshire pudding disintegrated when we tried to cut them. We were not asked if we required any more drinks and staff were very thin on the ground, conspicuous by their absence! Overall a very disappointing meal, a place to avoid!
