...Was the first reaction as we found this B&B.
The welcome was really friendly but it is hideously overpriced for what you get! The rooms are dated and in need of some serious TLC, the breakfasts are cheap and nasty (tesco value me thinks) and the location can only be described as woeful.
It's not far to drive to Beaulieu and the nice parts of the new forest but the B&B is pertched on the edge of a really nasty estate with the only really walkable amenity being a corner shop. It's probably a really handy place to stay if you need to visit the oil refinery or power station up the road but otherwise I'd steer well clear. There must be better places to stay.
