I am quite amazed by all the positive reviews about this restaurant. The people are nice, the service is ok, the wine is good and fairly priced but that is where it ends for me. The restaurant is bleak and austere which you can get away with in sunny Spain but on a bleak November night it Southampton, it is not an inviting place to be.
The food is disappointing and lacks any depth of flavour. The crispy calamari was not crispy, the chicken on a skewer (kebab) tasted like pre cooked chicken rolled in dry spices and microwaved, the result being that the spices tasted slightly harsh and had not penetrated in to the chicken.
So regrettably this was a very disappointing experience and felt like amateurs trying to run a Spanish Tapas Bar.
