“Homage”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

This is a small museum, by modern standards, but all the better for it!

It shows the whole history of the corps from its origins until today.

Two thing stick out in my mind, the medal room and the picture of a 'bootneck' requalifying after loosing a leg in combat.

Talk about inspiring.

If you have any interest in the military, then its too good to miss.

“A great history of our Royal Marines”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

Very well laid out and enough information without getting too involved. The medals room is packed and I only tended to look at the VC's that were awarded section. Staff were very helpful.

“The story and the medals”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

It tells the whole story, from the founding of the Duke of York and Albany's maritime regiment of foot, later the Royal Marines, through to the Falklands and beyond. Many of the V.C.'s won by the marines are displayed, with the stories of how they were won
