“Interesting Place To See Again And Again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

If you have a ticket to see Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, you can visit this place again and again for up to a year. The museum covers the period of the Napoleonic wars up the the Second World War. See lots of models of the ships used in the navy over the years. Children can find out what it is like to lean over a yardarm on a sailing vessel. Feel the weight of a musket or cutlass. Opposite the shop is another section all about Lord Nelson, where you can see films and paintings of him, also have your photo taken with a life size replica of him.
If you have anyone who is visually impaired, there is a mould of Nelson's face available which they can touch to find out what he actually looked like.

“Nelson and all that.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

As well as the story of Nelson and his victories, the Museum contains so much information about our maritime adventures and the Royal Navy. It is well worth a visit and a tour of the "Victory" is a must to see how life was lived on board at the Battle of Trafalgar.

There you can see the marine history with your own eyes! I even watched a presentation about the battle of Trafalgar. Very well done!
