“Ok for the night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

Did not get off to a good start, hard to get any one to answer phone to make booking, would have gone somewhere else, but had a meeting there, finally got the rate agreed with our office. The room was big clean and comfortable, big tv with a good choice of channels, ok hotel could do with upgrade, but had a good and powerful shower, water was very hot.
Attached to a pub, so did have a good beer and cheap food, breakfast was a bit hit and miss.
Ok for one night, but would check you get charged correctly, as they try to changed me a different rate to the one agreed on the phone.
It is one of those places that you feel comfortable ,with some nice friendly staff

We had our wedding reception here and all the staff that was involved with the meal,re-arranging the room and the buffet were seconed to none .Absolutly faultless so thank you to those involved..We went down for breakfast next morning to find that our guest,s had been charged diffrerant rate,s for there room,s .We where told that the price of £59 included breakfast but were'nt told that if you book on-line it was'nt included . However with one of my friends who upgraded .I made a point of going to the reception the night before and asking if the room rate included breakfast.and was told it was .on the whole the morning after was a dissapointment
and it totaly took the edge of my our wedding day . would i recomened this place for party /wedding, s yes .However i would not recomened the overnight stay

Room Tip: we stayed in the royal room and it was excellent and included a jacuzzi.i would highly recomend the...

Me and my partner stayed at the hotel for a night recently and were less than satisfied with the stay. On arrival we were informed that the room booking hadn't been successful but there was no form of contact to state this. Luckily there was a spare room available but it would have been a nightmare trip if there was no availability. We later asked at reception for drinking glasses for the room in which we were rudely instructed to go and find for ourselves from the bar- the bar which was currently hosting a private wedding function... The cleanliness of the room also was more than disappointing as it was dusty on surfaces and carpet and the inside of the curtains were covered in thick black mould. We were informed that check out would be at 11 but had a member of staff marching into the room at 10 to clean the rooms... Overall unpleasant stay and wont be returning.

paid £55 for the room and rang the hotel a few days before to secure a quite room ( after reading the reviews ). Staff welcoming and was given room 232.
Hotel has old fittings, fire doors that shut with a bang !
However rooms clean, TV with enough channels, bed comfy water hot (VERY HOT) shower very good and free car park. In brief good enough for the money and would stop again.
Did not eat within the hotel or Hungry House so cannot comment.

Room Tip: book a quite room away from a fire door

Hi there, straight to the point, rooms ok but like other reviewer said bit 70's. don't really care myself, tv was 28-32" HD which was very pleasant, temperature of water was phenomenal!! Surprised an A&E visit wasn't required! Got decaf coffee sachets only on one of the days... As a general rule this hotel was absolutely fine, until breakfast on the first morning where I had to ask where the food was to select from to which I was informed they "make it to order"- like this is a good thing?! I want to pick and choose, you've no idea how much that riled me up consoled only by the tv size and quality. Then to add insult to injury I wasn't asked wether I wanted coffee or tea but had to ask as I couldn't see (not for want of looking or that I want someone else to pour me a coffee!) then I'm directed to a plastic tray with the same cheap and nasty disgusting Nescafé sachets that were in my room?!!! WHAT?!!!

My colleague was at the other end to the reception and that really did smell (in the corridor only) of damp-but I wasn't at that end so I don't care about that

On the plus the parking is ample and nicely positioned at the front, it's free although you should never have to pay for it anyway.

I don't think I'd spend my money on it unless it was £30 a night- but staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. And the sleep was fine too - apart from every night when I presume a worker there left on his moped which will have won the worlds loudest and most pointless hairdryer competition.

The Inn Lodge is not expensive, but not cheap either, and so I was overall disappointed in the stay I had there. The room was spacious but not clean - especially the bathroom, and was at the very least in need of a lick of paint and new double-glazing. There was a smell of cigarette smoke throughout the place and the room where breakfast was served was equally in need of a bit of spit and polish to bring it up to an acceptable standard.

I stayed at this hotel for one night over the bank holiday.
The reception staff where smart and very friendly and the carpark was ok.
The room i was given was next door to the linen store and was woken up by the lorry driver moving trolleys to and fro at 7am on a Sunday, The room was straight out of the 70's and very tatty. The bathroom was clean but the amount of scale on the shower head and taps was extreme. This shows a lack of cleaning and maintenance. Check its condition before taking a shower. If its manky, dont use it. The standard of room i think i paid far too much and its not very central for the price either. I wouldnt recommend this hotel....try premier inn instead...bit cheaper too.

Room Tip: Stay away from the linen store and check the shower head for cleanliness.
