“Our best stay in the UK”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights at No 12. The place is fantastic. Sarah and Phillip our hosts were extremely knowledgable and helpful. We enjoyed many wonderful conversations. The rooms were spacious, beautifully appointed bedding and bathrooms top notch. We had 2 very very early starts, had to miss breakfast (which I am sure would have been delicious) but Sarah graciously packed a perfect selection of "to go" foods for us. Very appreciated. Cirencester is a lovely town. The property is in a perfect location. Easy to walk everywhere. We were in the UK for 2 weeks, visited many special accommodations, and ranked No 12 as our most favorite.

However, No 12 is by far the best place to spend a night and a cooked breakfast recovering after a reunion dinner! We arrived for check in and received a warm welcome and offers of plenty of help with our luggage. Our room was a Suite which was wonderful and spacious enough to avoid each other if we wished to (which we didn't!). This lovely town house is situated perfectly to explore Cirencester and the area in general. The beds are comfortable and there are no shortages of pillows and the general ambiance couldn't be more welcoming, relaxing, humorous and satisfying. All in all a great place to stay.

Myself and my wife stayed for a friends wedding in the beautiful Cotswolds and were not disappointed. The owner was very attentive and offered great hospitality throughout our stay. Situated in Cirencester a great venue for a short break and delivered some nice touches with top class toiletries and a great breakfast. If you stay you will not be disappointed.

This beautiful town house in Cirencester is a wonderful place to stay for a romantic weekend away. My husband booked this without telling me and I wasn't disappointed. The room was nicely decorated and the roll top bath - in the room - was a treat. Deep and relaxing topped off with Molton Brown toiletries which was a nice touch. The bed was huge - we were almost able to star fish and barely touch! Breakfast was hot, well cooked and nothing was too much trouble. The owner, Sarah, even added baked beans to my 'breakfast loving' husbands plate. We were within minutes of lovely restaurants and bars and parking is provided so our car didn't move until we checked out. Would we stay again - definately, I've already booked for our anniversary.

Room Tip: We were in room 1 which has the roll top bath in the room (wc is en suite). It does face the road bu...

Really lovely, very romantic large bedrooms. Breakfast was fab and very friendly hosts. Perfect location if you intending to stay in Cirencester. Parking is a few minutes walk away, perfectly manageable but just in case you have mobility concerns.

We stayed for 2 nights last year. It was a great place with a friendly owner and a lovely large room. Beautiful breakfast, attentive service and some helpful advice re the local area. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in a central location in Cirencester.

This ticked all boxes. In a quiet but central part of town, this elegant house of a former wool merchant is deceptively spacious inside and has been thoughtfully updated to provide twenty first century comfort with the minimum of modernity added. Large beds in large bedrooms, a downstairs sitting room with choice of newspapers opening on to a south facing walled meadow garden, a superb breakfast and the most welcoming of owners for whom nothing was too much. There is a loading bay outside the front door to drop off and collect and 24/7 free private parking less than 5 minutes walk away. Jesse's Bistro and the Golden Cross pub, both nearby, have excellent menus.
