“Very ancient”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

We went to see a performance by the Boyan Ensemble of Kiev, a Ukrainian choir who tour the UK every autumn. They are very well worth seeing if you get the chance.
We have also visited the church on other occasions as we live nearby. There are some very interesting things to see including a chalice which belonged to Ann Boleyn.

“lovely”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

the church is the centerpiece of the town--it's wonderful when you go inside--the organist was practicing while we were there--what a serendipitous moment for us---this church is alive in the community and offers a wealth of history and activities (concerts, tours, movies, religious store right inside the church) I'm sure it really gets highlighted during the xmas season---all of Cirencester is wonderful--only about 1.15hrs straight drive west of London---you can take the National Express bus from Victoria station and it's a little over 2hrs because they have to stop at LHR

“Very nice church with great history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

The church is in the center of the town and don't miss the visit. The church is very old. We happen to meet a volonteer in the church knowing a lot of the history. There are also connections in the past between the church and the royal family.

“Beautiful Church”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

Whilst milling around Cirencester with Family that live nearby, he took us to the Parish Church of St John the Baptist.

First thoughts was Wow, what a grand old building! On a hot day it was wonderful to step inside to a cool, calm and wonderfully presented Church. We were greeted by the "warden?" who happened to know my cousin and treated us to a bit of impromptu tour guiding of the History of the place, very interesting and fascinating to see the Boleyn Cup *Simply mesmerizing!*

There was also someone practising playing the Organ which was wonderful to hear and amusing when they first started up as it was unexpectedly loud in such a quite, peaceful place *thankfully it wasn't too much of a shock and enjoyed listening to them play*

So much History, it was wonderful to explore even for a brief visit, we shall be back :D

“A really nice way to spend an hour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

We were walking and noticed this beautiful church. We went in and was greeted with a lovely person who told us a joke and the free tour that was starting in 10 mins. This lonely lady gave a fascinating insight into the church's history and we were captivated from minute one.

Highly recommend you pop in for an hour .. you won't be disappointed!
