Owner description: Prescott Hill Climb, based just outside of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, is home to one of the world's most prestigious motor racing venues. Set in 60 acres of glorious Cotswold countryside, the estate not only provides a beautiful setting for a range of classic car and bike weekends, but also hosts major motor racing championships. The Bugatti Owners Club was established in 1929 for all motoring enthusiasts regardless of what type of vehicle you drive. The Club is based at Prescott and purchased the estate in 1937, converting the muddy, rutted drive into a speed hiil climb in time for the opening rally in April 1938. The 1127 yard course rises over 200 feet via short straights, fast and slow corners and a breathtaking hairpin, with the fastest modern racing cars completing the course in an exciting 36 seconds. The action can be viewed from strategic points along the course as well as from the restaurant terrace. Visitors and competitors alike can enjoy an exhilarating days racing plus vintage cavalcades up the Hill. Whether you are a competitor, a car or bike enthusiast or someone who just likes a day out in beautiful surroundings Prescott is the place for you.

“If you like cars then go”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

.....I don't like cars but still had a very pleasant day out at "La vie en bleu".....partly due to the lovely weather admittedly. If the weather is fine it makes a splendid place to take a picnic and sit around - which is exactly what many families and groups were doing (I don't think everyone was car mad). You can easy while away a day in this pleasant location - the views are stunning and the toilets, catering options etc are all clean and good. I may have had a different verdict if the weather had of been naff..

“A real club atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

At a number of meets over the year one gets the opportunity of seeing an enormous range of cars howling their way up the hill. The vehicles range from some of the most exotic and ancient through to the common place and every day driven by women and men with a passion to clip a 100th of a second off their personal and class records. The location, on the edge of a wooded Cotswold scarp is stunning, with views towards the Vale of Evesham. Regular and frequent steam rail GWR traffic makes its way around the foot of the course adding additional interest to the site. The atmosphere is very relaxed - there can't be many places where on can chat with a Bugatti works driver and engage in a discussion about chain drives with a man wrestling with a 46 litre 1908 behemoth that has deafened all with its thrash up the hill.

Simply a wonderful day out for boys (and many girls) of all ages.

“CLASSIC COTSWOLDS CLASSIC CARS”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

4 of us (2 married couples) got to Prescott Hill at 10 am and after paying our £15 we parked up in our non classic car. The 2 males were immediately drawn to an original Bugatti being rolled of the back of a trailer - our wives were oblivious to this, they were just chatting. We then walked across to the Bugatti club and got teas and coffees. The two males went walkabout admiring classics that were original and classic shapes that were beautifully copied - our wives sat on the balcony, drinking their tea and just chatting. Whilst we were chatting to owners of Jaguars, Lagondas, Aston Martins etc etc we were also witnessing a variety of classic cars that had paid for the privilege of climbing Prescott Hill for a worthy charitable cause being championed by the local Rotary organisation. We eventually got back to our wives who were still just chatting! We then headed off to explore more of the Cotswolds but I would certainly recommend a trip to Prescott Hill either for a Hill Climb event or Classic Car event. I went to ask my wife what she thought of it all but I didn't want to interrupt her 'cos she was just chatting!!!!!
