We stayed for 1 night B&B in a standard room costing £145 for wedding anniversary. Was a bit worried after reading previous reviews, however standard room was nice and comfortable and a reasonable size. However the room was very hot on arrival so we turned on the air on before we walked to the shops (the hotel is in a fantastic central location, close to shops, bars and restaurants). When we got back to our room it was still really hot and called down to get some help with air con. The porter was sent up and told us it was broken and we should open the window. Unfortunately due to traffic noise this was problematic so we had a very hot uncomfortable night. We did mention this again on leaving and were given the £10 parking cost back as a gesture! There were a few other niggles - toilet seat was loose and cereal was missing from our breakfast order which we had delivered to our room, but the main issue was the room temperature.
