My partner and I stayed for two nights between Xmas and New Year in the Joseph Pitt, a principle room. The hotel was very quiet so why we were put in a room where one of the wash-hand basins was out of order, there was no hot water in the other and the toilet seat was broken, is a mystery. The food was acceptable but the wine prices were exorbitant. Several items were also not available from the food menu and house wine not available either. The only redeeming factor was the quality and friendliness of the staff. Although we had a good deal, £390, for two nights DBB, after paying an additional £30+ per bottle for wine it worked out expensive.
This hotel does not live up to its billing and fails to be a quality venue. Overall we were disappointed and would not return.
