We visited this pub for Sunday lunch whilst meeting up with my husbands daughter, son in law and 15 month old granddaughter.
The pub was almost empty the menu was small but adequate and we all went for roast beef. Unfortunately the beef, whilst looking good was in fact impossible to cut even with a steak knife and none of us could chew more that about 3 mouthfuls.
In retrospect we should perhaps have complained when we asked for steak knives, but we didn't and the end result was that when we were asked how the meal had been( as we handed back plates still full of inedible beef) and we explained why we couldn't eat it we were still given a bill for the full price.
We didn't bother with puddings and left feeling very disappointed.
