“Why go anywhere else”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

We have just returned from our March yearly trip trip to Bourton on the Water, where we again stayed at Trevone.Over the passed 40 years we have stayed at many B+Bs in Bourton but we are drawn back to Trevone. It is in ideal position to walk to the village plus being on the 801 bus route for those who wish to go to Stow and Moreton.
The breakfast received is great and cooked and served by Lin, the owner. The rooms are very comfortable and warm and could not be more welcoming after a day out in the cold weather.

A find this year was The Bourton basket which is just behind Small Talk on the main steet,If you are into crafts and the like, please take a visit as the man in the shop is very helpful and has a wealth of knowledge. He stocks craft items that are not stocked else where on the village.

Room Tip: There are no rooms on the ground floor so stairs must always be used. The back garden room is the qui...

Lovely stay at Trevone, Lin was a great host and room was comfy and cosy, with really nice breakfast to follow. Quiet road adds to relaxing stay and just 2 mins walk from the village centre. Easy access in any direction to the stunning Cotswolds.

A very nice simple bed and breakfast in a lovely part of the world!
Our hostess provided a very nice cooked breakfast after our one night stay. The location is very good - a very easy walk into the village where we enjoyed a lovely meal.
The facilities are very adequate, we would have liked instruction on how the shower works, but otherwise, quite good.

We were made to feel really welcome here by the friendly owner Lin and we felt at home here from the moment we walked in. We loved the peace and quiet, the location, the comfy bed and the wonderful breakfast. All in all it is a GREAT place to stay, and just a 2 minute stroll into the centre of Bourton on the Water and all its amenities. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

We spent three fabulous nights in this delightful part of England. I travelled with my husband, his father and his wife.Lynn was a superb hostess nothing was too much to ask and she was happy to accommodate special diet requests in her lovely stone cottage. Our rooms were spacious, clean and very pretty. It is a 5 min wander down to the shops cafes and restaurants by the banks of the river. What a beautiful part of the world!

Room Tip: We had the Poppy room with views over the road, My father in law had, the Asian Lady room which was...

Stayed two nights. The house is in a great position for the village, only a five minute walk away.
The room was a good size with everything you need, TV, drinks facility's etc.
The bed is a good size but the mattress is very soft but that's just a personal preference.
Lin was very friendly and made a lovely breakfast.
Our only disappointment was that when we returned to our room after a day out the mugs that we used for our chocolate drinks were still dirty and the bed not made. We had locked the room before we left but we assumed there would be a spare key? We have stayed in lots of BB and its normal practice for your room to be cleaned during your stay.

Can't fault this B&B. Good location, rooms with character, tasty breakfasts, friendly owner. My 2nd visit & I'd definitely recommend Trevone especially as most other Bourton places insist on 2 night minimum stay.
