It's been nearly two years since we last visited, and there have been a few changes to the decor. In the past, we've always eaten in the bar, but half of this area is now taken over by tables set up for the Grill. There are now just five large tables for the bar area.
We also thought prices were up on before (£5.50 for one cafetiere and one tea). We had planned to have lunch here, but at nearly £15 for a portion of fish and chips we decided against this, went down to the Strand and got some from the takeaway to take back to our holiday accommodation (two portions was cheaper than £15, and it was very good).
This has become one of the trendy places to visit in Rye, and I do wonder if they're cashing in on this by these inflated prices.
