My wife's scallop chowder was perfection with sliced and then toasted scons which was a pleasant and unique dish for us. I had a scallop, black pudding, bacon an prawn dish with crispy potato skins. The only let down was that the latter had a brilliant but slightly overwhelming taste which the light side salad couldn't quite compensate for. Atmosphere was very pleasant, airy yet snug, plus the price was very reasonable for what is sometimes a town that can be expensive to eat out in. We went during the scallop festival and we will return to sample other dishes that looked good on other tables.
