“Cannot recommend enough”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

This is the second one-night stay we have had at Lavender & Lace. Tina and Paul are wonderful hosts and their love of their B&B shines through. Our room was beautiful and so cosy, with every little detail thought through, from lovely linen and towels, books and magazines, tea, coffee, biscuits and water and nice bath and shampoo accessories.
The breakfast has to be the best we have ever had in a B&B. It is the perfect location, being in the old part of Hastings, with its charm and character and close by to some excellent restaurants.
Just perfect.

Lovely little cottage tucked away in Old Town, Hastings. The welcome from Tina was very warm and we felt at home straight away. Fantastic location, wonderful breakfasts, clean and comfortable beds and rooms and lots of recommendations on what to see and where to dine. Excellent value for money. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Such a lovely place - so comfortable, clean and welcoming. It had everything we needed in terms of facilities. The place has lots of charm and the owners were more than helpful with local information. The breakfast was top class - they catered for vegetarians and the home made jams and yogurt were delicious! I had an amazing scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on toast and fresh fruit. It was delicious! I would absolutely recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a really comfortable, welcoming stay in the Old Town of Hastings.

We stayed here for one night very recently, and have had the most wonderful experience. Tina replied to our enquiry email immediately, and was so professional amd friendly. The B&B is a stunning Tudor building which has been lovingly and respectfully decorated, and sits snuggly
in the old town; perfect for exploring.
Our room was very clean, cosy and full of thoughtful little touches such as expensive toiletries. The bed was very comfortable and luxe, and it really feels like thought has been put into everything.
The breakfast was extaordinary; lots of homemade jams, yoghurts, fruit salads and a good selection of home cooked breakfasts, The vegetarian breakfast was gorgeous.
Quite simply this is the nicest bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in. From fresh flowers at the breakfast table to all of the homemade and organic breakfast treats; and the lovely and friendly welcome from our hosts, we just cannot recommend this bed and breakfast enough.

Very welcoming, Tina and Paul went out of their way to be accommodating (even storing our dirty wet bicycles). We stayed in a newly decorated suited which was small but contained everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely and included homemade jams and our first homemade yogurt. The place was very well stocked up with books, magazines and games, some of which we've never played. It was very quiet on the first night however we could hear other guests tv on the second night; a small price though, for staying in such lovely and old building. We'll come back again. Our friends stayed in two sea front hotels and did not get anything like the comfort we enjoyed.

Stayed here for one evening only, which felt too short in the end. The B&B was perfect! We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable without any fuss. Our room was clean, comfortable and everything you could need was thought of. The Edwardian charm of the B&B is felt throughout, with its low ceilings and black painted beams. Breakfast was great and there was a choice of fresh foods to choose from. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: oops - clicked that there is a swimming pool and it won't reset, but there isn't.

arrived lunch time and we were pleased we could get in the room early!
We were made to feel so welcome right away.
Although getting the suitcase upstairs was a trial - well worth it when we were shown our double en-suite room. The bed was so comfy, didn't want to get up in the mornings! Absolutely perfectly clean with fresh white linen. The bathroom was perfect. The range of toiletries puts other establishments to shame. Right, now the breakfast, it was perfect from the home made jams etc and home grown fruits, The choice and quality of the cooked breafasts was second to none. We cannot say enough to recommend Lavendar & Lace. Thankyou Tina & Paul. Excellent value for money and cannot wait to come back!

Room Tip: Book Lavender & Lace before its full!!!
