“A surprisingly enjoyable visit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

Because of the leaflets and advertising, we had never bothered visiting before as it gave the impression of just being a load of waxworks but we were really pleasantly surprised by the whole attraction. The caves are really well lit - from the atmospheric entrance tunnel to the prisoner rattling his jail cell door. There is lots to interact with - from basic but fun computer games to buttons to press and so on. The video was amusing and informative and we could happily have spent two hours there going round it. The staff were really friendly too.

“Enjoyable indoor (in-cave) activity with young children”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012

We found it a bit difficult to locate the cave adventure - but once we did it was a fun and worthwhile little tour with our 5-yr-old. He was a little scared by the attractions but got over that quickly, once we started through.

At the time we visited, a lot of the interactive bits for children were broken or didn't appear to work. They were interesting and well-designed, so that was the main disappointment. The things that did work were enjoyable for the kids (shooting at the smugglers, listening to their stories) and the lighting and atmosphere was enjoyable for the adults too.

I hope the owners will invest in fixing the bits that weren't working!

“Great day out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

Didnt expect too much but was very pleasantly surprised. Took my 6 year old and we had a great - slightly scary - day out. Plenty to see and do for both adult and child and very good value for money

“Fun way to spend an hour or so”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

An enjoyable and interesting way to spend an hour so. There's plenty of things to interact with and read on your route through the caves and is ideal for kids. At about £6-7 for an adult, it's about fairly valued.
