“Not just a B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

So unassuming from the outside we almost missed it, we found The Cloudesley to be the perfect place to relax and get away for weekend. Our room was decorated beautifully and the bed couldn't have been more comfortable. The selection of books in the room was a nice touch and not having a TV was heaven! The bathroom, although small was done to a high standard. The breakfasts were delicious and we would highly recommend the omelettes! We had the sausage, leek & sage version and it was delicious. Shahriar (the host) could not have been more welcoming and happy to help. Would definitely go and stay again!

A very peaceful and relaxing two night stay with a difference. The host is very friendly and very welcoming and goes out of his way to please. The B&B, although this is not an average B&B, was very warm. A lovely large room with such a comfortable bed with cloud like comfy pillows and quilt. Shower room done out nicely, but very small. Good choice of breakfasts and don't be put off by the omlettes being very unique (fig and prune!!), they are very yum, I had feta, spinach and sun dried toms in mine. Gluten free options also available. Undoubtedly one of the best places for accommodation in the Hastings/St Leonards area. Treatments such as reiki and reflexology available too.

What a wonderful 2 nights we have just spent at The Cloudesley for my birthday. Shahrira the owner is so warm and welcoming and you get the impression that he really cares about you having a good stay. The decor is absolutely stunning, with many rooms filled with interesting photographs he has taken on his travels, amazing artwork and african masks with fantastic stories behind them.
I cannot recommend this place enough, we will definitely be back to stay again. The bed that we had was extremely comfortable. The worst thing about our stay was having to leave, we really felt refreshed and rejuvenated after our 2 nights here.
The breakfasts were sensational, fresh fruit platters or smoothies were served to us followed by delicious frittata style omlettes with herbs freshly cut from the garden. All organic ingredients, absolutely delightful!

What a really relaxing stay we had at the Cloudsley. Breakfasts were a great selection of tasty unique omelettes, fruit platter, smoked salmon, lots of warm toast and proper marmalade, home made smoothie and more... What a pleasure to have such caring thoughtful service here in the UK, our host wanted to

My wife and I stayed for two nights in late January 2013 and were delighted with everything about the stay. The proprietor served up an absolute treat for breakfast (brilliant omelettes) and was attentive and helpful throughout. There seems to be a story to each trinket, painting or photograph and we both felt very welcome. The rooms were lovely, and we would definitely return again.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet as the area is particularly noise-free. We stayed in the Hafez which was superb...

What a find! We needed a relaxing break after working over Christmas and new year. This was everything and more! It's beautifully decorated with lots of interesting books and paintings in every room. The bedroom was amazing and has the most comfortable bed ever. The owner was lovely and made sure you had everything you wanted. So glad we chose his suggestions for breakfast instead of same old full English. We had an amazing plate of fruit each morning followed by his special omelette on the first day and smoked salmon scrambled eggs, mushrooms and vine tomatoes second day, it exceeded our expectations. Everything is organic and I loved the Himalayan crystal salt so much I've bought 3 kilos! There are a couple of rooms to sit and relax in and that's exactly what we did. A lovely relaxing break in beautiful surroundings. Hope o stay again.
