Description: Near the famous pavillion in Brighton, Al Duomo is well, not quite as famous as the Pavillion itself, but it has attracted two million visitors over the past twenty-one years. A classic, family-run Neapolitan pizzeria spread over three floors, Al Duomo has an Italian menu to tempt even non-pizza lovers, if there are any. The pizzas are cooked in a wood fired oven, one of Britain's first. The many other favourite dishes include Lasagne Casalinga and salmone al dragoncello, cooked in butter, white wine and tarragon with tomato and cream. It's a great place for parties and groups, but absolutely everyone enjoys the delicious food, charming ambience and warm Italian welcome. Patio seating when the weather is balmy.

“Lovely Italian treat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Me and my boyfriend visited here during a trip to Brighton for the weekend, being big lovers of Italian food we decided to book a table here.

The service was very, very good, they were very understaffed and rushing around but the staff were polite and attentive.

We had garlic bread and rice balls for starter both were delicious. We then had chicken with sauce and roast potatoes for main, both which were lovely. Also the food was very reasonably priced.

I would without doubt recommend a visit there, also for pizza lovers they cook the pizzas in a big open oven, very authentive and they looked lovely!

Very good find!

“Waiters not bothered”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Wife and I had a nice starter and her risotto was good. But I had the house speciality pizza; which was seafood. It came with mussels in there shells on top. Unfortunately most of the shells had shattered. Meaning it was like eating a fried egg full of invisible shell.
I complained to the waiter and he showed about as much interest as a cat might to a carrot!

“Excellent- 100% recommend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

Popped into Al Duomo at 10pm after a Brighton Fringe event. Very pleased that we did- excellent friendly service and the Pizzas were superb...they make their own dough and it shows, a million miles better than any of the chains.
We would really recommend a visit and we'll definitely be back.

“Elvis night at Al Duomo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

Came to see Suspiciously Elvis and have the set 3 course meal. This restaurant offer regular themed nights in the small function room under the main restaurant. It is an intimate venue and I can honestly say Suspiciously Elvis is one of the best Elvis I have ever seen.
You need to book in advance and leave £10 per person deposit with a cost of about £25 per head+ drinks. Elvis performed 3 sets of approx 30 mins ending up with everyone up dancing.
The menu for the party night offered a choice of approx 5 starters-mains and desserts. It is an ideal venue and great if you have a celebration but not really the night to choose if you are looking for an intimate meal for two.
The main restaurant upstairs is also a great place. One of my favourite Italian restaurants around!

“Excellent Event at Al Duomo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

Scott has asked to join me in thanking you so much for a fantastic evening last night. Patryk and all the staff were excellent and the food was delicious. We received compliments from everyone that attended and I am sure that many will return for a meal with you. We would definitely use you again for future events.
