“Beautiful Relaxing Retreat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013 via mobile

Beautifully decorated & a great location. The owners obviously care about their hotel. We stayed in Usk on the 4th floor, not as large or expensive as some of their rooms. Loved the freestanding bath, especially with one of their strawberry cocktails. It deserves the top spot on tripadvisor. Thank you for a memorable visit

Me and my fiancé stayed in the santana room for two nights and we had a great stay! Room was very nice and clean and slightly fancy. Only a 10 minute walk from the pier and the shops are literally just round the corner. Well worth the money!

My husband and I stayed here for one night and choose to stay in Danube as it was one of the two rooms that has a balcony. What a good choice. We were lucky and the weather was beautiful while we were there so spent a fair bit of time chilling out on the balcony with a bottle of wine watching the world go by. The room itself was lovely. It was large and light and just made me smile! Has a roll top bath near the window and a decent size walk in shower - also in the lounge, so you would only want to stay in this room with someone you are very familiar with! I love this hotel. The staff we met were fab, really friendly and helpful. The location is good, walkable from the station (ok a fair old trek but walkable with a small bag). The breakfast is superb, breakfast in bed (served in bed at no extra cost) was a real treat. Not something I would normally do in a hotel, but because the room was beautiful I couldn't tear myself away. We were able to keep our bags in the hotel for the day once we had checked out, which was really helpful. We were even shown a couple of the other rooms that were not occupied, and all the rooms are very unique. Can honestly say that I think I would be happy staying in any of them. The only slight niggles I had were the location of the kettle in the room - situated in a low cupboard and in my opinion should be higher up as it was awkward to make a cuppa without scalding yourself. Would also be nice to have some bubble bath provided with such a gorgeous bath in the room! Lovely White Company toiletries were provided though, along with bathrobes and slippers. If I want a quality hotel in Brighton again I will come straight back to Hotel Una.

As someone who travels the UK by train and walks to the hotel, this was a bit of a haul from the station. However you are sandwiched right between the ocean and a main road full of stores, so you have that in your favor. My room, the Neris, featured some... unique artwork. Which I'll just leave you to discover on your own. They use a peculiar key system here - your key is attached to a block of wood, and you leave it at the front desk, and they recognize you when you return. Breakfast was well done, staff were friendly. Room was a bit cold for my stay, but I was visiting during the eternal winter of 2013, so I'm willing to give some leeway on that front.

I booked Hotel Una for a weekend away with my girlfriend based on the reviews on Trip Advisor, where it was rated the top hotel. And, my word, it didn't disappoint. It is a marvellous hotel - perfect location, stylish, comfortable, homely and great value too.

We stayed in the Orinoco room, which is a superior double. In reality, that means we ended up with what wasn't far off a 3 room apartment. The bedroom was beautifully decorated, with a wonderful fresh style and carefully chosen artwork. Attached to the bedroom was a small living area, featuring a wonderfully comfortable recliner, a double sofa and a single seat armchair, along with a nice little table. The bathroom was the perfect size.

The room just said luxury and comfort. Oh, and had the perfect view over Regency Square and the sea. The light woods made it feel like a villa in a Mediterranean country, with large wooden shutters rather than curtains meaning you could leave the windows open all night (it was hot in Brighton that weekend) with the noise blocked by the shutters.

Location-wise, it's perfect for all of the main Brighton attractions - it's only a short walk from the pier and the Lanes, but is small enough and far enough away to avoid the relentless stag and hen parties.

The entire hotel is decorated with a contemporary, fresh and welcoming feel - there's a lot of artwork, but it never feels prissy.

The staff simply couldn't have been better. They were overflowing with welcome, offered recommendations for places to eat, places to drink, things to do. They were happy to book restaurants for us and the cocktail barman, Gary, introduced us to some wonderful drinks we'd never tried before. He was happy to make cocktails not on the menu, doing it with fine style and producing truly astonishing drinks, which were perfect to be enjoyed in the small but perfectly formed bar, looking out over the square.

The option of taking breakfast in bed rather than going down for it in the morning is also awesome.

Based on the quality of the hotel, the service from the wonderful staff, the perfect location and the stunningly appointed rooms, I wouldn't have been unhappy to have paid half as much again as we did to stay at Hotel Una. A fabulous hotel - I'll never stay anywhere else in Brighton ever again.

Room Tip: Orinoco was brilliant for 2 people for 2 nights. Get a room with a view over the square / a front vi...

Just got back from 2 day stay at the Hotel Una. Before I arrived I was a bit concerned by some of the previous reviews regarding the car parking. The underground car park in Regency Square has recently been modernised and is now very clean, well lit and secure. Your car park ticket is needed to access the car park which excludes anyone without a car from gaining access. The hotel itself is very comfortable, well run and in a central location. Breakfasts are excellent and this is a place we will return to whenever we return to the city. We stayed in Danube and were able to sit on the balcony overlooking the gardens / sea which was a nice touch. Definitely on our list of preferred hotels.

Room Tip: Danube has balcony, super king bed. Shower and bath are in the room itself.Large TV with Blue ray pl...

Me and my fiancée stayed at this hotel on a Monday night in the Santana room. It was gorgeous. Had an open power shower next to the large bed, long black leather couch in sitting area with a huge smart TV and then a sunning deep black bath in the bathroom. There toiletries were the White Company and were lovely! Obsessed with the body lotion now!
It has a quaint little lift and a bar area. We had a few drinks in the bar, a Brighton Rock cocktail, double honey JD and a peroni, cost £19 something.
Breakfast was served in bed and was a filling fry up, you place your order on the door before 6am and they bring it up at the time you request between 8-10am. They offered to look after our bags on check out day until we were ready to go home which was really helpful too.
Close walk to the shopping centre, pier and the Laines.
