“Just Lovely!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2011

Just returned from a lovely weekend break with my daughter at Greys. The staff were really friendly and helpful, good location, beds super comfortable and a fab breakfast - what more can you ask for!

It's hard to imagine you could do better in Brighton than this B and B. You can pick which room to stay in in the website and we picked room 4. When we arrived it was exactly as the picture showed- gorgeous 4 poster bed- soooo comfy- lovely thick carpets, bags of light and LOADS of space- just great. Hotel was peaceful and quiet, bathroom spotless with fluffy towels and nice 'the white company' toiletries' and in the morning, a genuinely delicious breakfast cooked to your specifications (none of that mass breakfast buffet misery you get in big hotels) with generous portions. Staff are fantastic- guys that run the place can't do enough for you without being intrusive or overbearing, which is lovely. We paid £145 per night in high season (july) which i think is really reasonable for such a great, comfortable stay. A lot of 'seafront' places charge more but if you look at them they are on a really busy road going along the seafront with loads of traffic- this place is in a nice quiet sidestreet but still a stone's throw from the sea. Can't reccomend enough.

Room Tip: Room 4 is lush!

You have to stay here! The location is perfect, the hosts were so lovely and helpful, gave us a map and located the things that were of interest to us. The breakfast was perfect gorgeous full English and lovely smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. The room was spotless and beds comfy. We had a great stay and will definitely return when we visit Brighton again.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my 79 year old mother and my 20 year old daughter and it exceeded all expectations. My daughter and I stayed in the superior room which was amazing, far better than a lot of high class hotels, with a great shower, proper coffee machine, biscuits, and mineral water and kit kats in the fridge.
The atmosphere was very calm and very friendly and we had good recommendations for reataurants.
Breakfasts could not have been better with an excellent choice and perfectly cooked.
I would not hesitate to return and hopefully will.

Stayed here twice in quick succession. The service was friendly and helpful, the room was amazing, and the food - the breakfasts are definitely to write home about.

Room Tip: Go for the superior.

We stayed here for a midwinter break for the second time. We upgraded to a superior room and were NOT disappointed. It was lovely to see Terry again, who remembered us. Not only that as we had just gotten married, he went out of his way to ensure our stay was perfect. The breakfast was superb for veggies, with a gorgeous palm tree in the breakfast area. The room was beautiful, clean and most relaxing with soft, fresh sheets. I would always stay here on a trip to Brighton, I came back a new lady!

We cant fault this hotel. From the moment we stepped in we were welcomed warmly and efficiently. We were offered advice about parking, restaurants and things to do and nothing seemed to much trouble to the boys. The room was lovely with lots of little thoughtful touches, and the breakfast exceptional. Our visit to Brighton was very brief, but should we be traveling to the south of England again, we will definitely be booking in again at Greys.
