“Very nice stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

Stayed for one night. Room at the top so had to climb but room was very nice. Clean. Had coffee, tea, hot chocolate, flavored tea facilities. The owner was very hospitable. Our breakfast was amazing, continental brought up in a big basket, we were full Would recommend

Ok firstly everything was clean and tidy and I slept well until someone got up in an adjoining room and you realised how creaky the floor board were that was at 4.50 and from that point was woken at varying intervals until I gave up and got up at 7...then desperate for a cuppa I had to search cupboard and draws to find tea making equipment...maybe this an intelligence test for lodgers...I failed! I had not looked at t'internet properly and had not grasped the breakfast in room bit, which I found a bit of a monasterial (not sure that's a word) experience and I missed a steaming teapot and hot toast etc coming out from the kitchen...having said that there was a chocolate fondant?? Which was to die for. But that is not the owners fault...my lack of googlease! So my rating would be good...sort out the floor boards and put out the Tea making equipment....but Breaky on my own in bedroom...not for me, sorry.

Fantastic place to stay, great location, owners were very friendly and the breakfast (delivered to your room) was brilliant. I would definitely recommend it. The only downside is that you may struggle with nearby parking and you have to have lots of change!

What a beautiful little hotel. Fantastic friendly staff and in a perfect location. Comfortable bed, with crisp white cotton bedding. Spotlessly clean and with all the mod cons. Wifi and Flat screen TV, which actually works! Lively bars and restaurants close by, but very quite in the room. Gorgeous breakfast. I'm definitely going again!

Room Tip: Sweet talk Caroline

We had a really great time at Five Brighton. The location is just perfect, just a few minutes to the beach, the Pier and lots of fabulous restaurants. Our host was very friendly and caring. One could even borrow hiking maps and guide books from the area or DVDs.
But the greatest thing of all was the breakfast: a picnic basket full of lovely food (juices, cereals, croissants, fresh fruits and muffins). Extremly tasty!

We visited to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. Upon arrival the host was really friendly, helped show us on a map everywhere we were planning on going and gave us a complimentary bottle of bubbly to celebrate our special occasion. Can't fault the hotel. The breakfast was awesome, so many lovely treats in one basket. The room was so quirky, I loved it :) there is also a library of DVDs to watch in your room. Top hotel which we definetly will be visiting again. Thank you.
