“Walk on by”

Don't be fooled by the pretty location. We stopped here for lunch and got cold undercooked panini's and over priced chips. Part of our order never arrived, despite three promises that it was coming shortly. Customers around us were similarly waiting for parts of their order or sending the wrong things back. It was like something from a sitcom. Will not be returning

“Should of read reviews first”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2014

I so wish I had read the reviews first. We went here for breakfast for the location. We ordered the all day breakfast advertised as the full English. What we got was a plate of reheated food with wait for it beef sausages. Would I go back. It's a big Noooo from me

“Rude, rude staff”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013 via mobile

Waited ages for our food, no apology given and when paying, not even a recognition of this. It was a take it or leave it response but unfortunately we had already eaten there. Such a beautiful location but they obviously have enough passing trade that they are not bothered about having local, loyal customers.

“Very disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013 via mobile

We went here last Saturday on the day my parents were heading back to Ireland after a visit. As it was a nice day we decided to have some lunch down the seafront and take the kids to the amusements and as this place wasn't busy we sat down. Took a few minutes to come and ask us what we wanted to eat, but as they had only just given us menus we settled for some drinks whilst we had a link. This was where it all went wrong. We ordered some food and after about 40 mins nothing had arrived apart from a waiter to say one of the items was now off the menu! Other tables were now being served that had arrived after us and when we asked where ours was we had different messages of, we are doing food for the wedding upstairs, to, we will only be 5 more minutes, to, we are very busy. They were busy then, not 50 mins earlier when we arrived or 40 mins earlier when we ordered food. As it would only be 5 mins we tried to take kids to loo and change nappies etc and the guy behind counter was quite rude to people waiting, seems strange when it used to be a PUBLIC TOILET! Food ended up arriving about 30 mins later by which time the kids were hungry and restless and so were we. General standard was apparently ok but my goats cheese salad was burnt and they only had to cook one thing. When I raised this with them at end of meal they had lots of excuses but no offer of addressing any issues. Won't be eating here again and is a shame because it could be a great venue if it was run by efficient, polite and reasonable restauranteurs.
