“Nice place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

We enjoyed our stay at The Moorland with a verry kind owner (Darren).
He cared about his guests (and there bikes).
Brighton is a nice town to stay, with lots of restaurants and many places to visit.
We enjoy The Lanes. The Moorland is located near the city center and the seaside.

We really enjoyed our stay last month at The Moreland. Darren took care of dinner reservations before our arrival. He upgraded us to a nicer room and we felt that he really cared about all of his guests. He was the perfect host. Our room was well equipped and very clean. The sheets are superior quality, nice big towels, kettle for coffee & tea, fridge in the room, bath amenities and a selection of complimentary snacks. This property is more like a boutique hotel with lovely design and decor. We will definately recommend and stay here the next time we are visiting Brighton.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Moreland at the beginning of June 2013. The first thing I noticed is actually how close to the seafront it is, which is really handy and makes it very easy to find. The room was spacious and very well fitted/decorated. We had room 2, on the ground floor which was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Darren was great throughout the stay and very accommodating. We only had breakfast on one of the days, but it was lovely, loads of choice and we were able to take it to our room, which was great.
We'll definitely recommend the Moreland and will stay here next time we're in Brighton.

On the occasion of a conference I chose to stay at The Moreland and it turned out to be the right decision: the owner, Darren, does everything to make your stay one to always remember. The hotel is located close to both the City center and the Brighton seaside and just next to the bus stop. The rooms are clean and cosy. I can really recommend it! Eva from Germany

Excellent facilities and service would recommend to anyone...especially enjoyed the wagon wheels in the room with your tea and coffee. haven't had a wagon wheel in years ...nice touch and sums up the hotel nicely.

Silly American that I am, I was expecting parking. But after I got over that, all was good (there is a large, modern, expensive, public parking facility a few blocks away). The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was good---not cooked, but available over a wide range of time. I walked to all of the tourist spots. Wife was at a conference at the University, and city bus was very convenient. The host was as helpful as he could be and was always available.

What a lovely little place to stay, great host, wonderful breakfast and even better treat tray in the room. Definately recommend for a warm and welcome break away. Very central to all amenities and the seafront. Close to bars and coffee shops and a short walk into town.
