have stayed in Ibis many times now. location is good, just down main street from the main railway station. New hotel, standard design, but good.
beds very comfortable. Bathroom - a pod design - shower, adequate for needs.
wifi is available and generally fast enough, though there is a pay broadband.
bar area small and restauarant/ breakfast area small, but generally big enough

Room Tip: floor 3 and above

Just back from a two night stay, and as the title says, this hotel is clean, bright and comfortable.
The room was smallish and functional, with a pod-type shower room, that was kept very well clean, and the room equally so. The air-con was controllable and kept the room nice, and cosy. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the pillows fresh and plump.
Though our room backed onto the lift shafts on the 8th floor there was next to no noise from this, however, the door to the lift lobby banged every time someone came through it, and this they did until silly-o'clock in the morning. Combined with the "happy-people" down in the street at the rear of the building, alternating lively discourse with urinating in doorways, it didn't make for a good sleep. This wasn't the hotels fault, or in their ability to control, but I need to mention it.
The only slight negative with the hotel was that breakfast was a bit of a cramped affair, with the servery wrapping around a column that acted as a pinch point, and there seemed to be too few tables and room for the number of people. The cooked breakfasts, cold meats, and pastries, hot drinks, cereals and fruit juices were very nice and we ate our fill.

Stayed at this latest edition to the Ibis group of hotels opening this year in July. Arrived by train in Brighton and with just a 5 minute walk from getting off the train and arriving in the hotel the location speaks for itself. Greeted by efficient and friendly staff and checked in quickly. This is a very modern and functional hotel just above the budget level. Our room cost paying in advance £52 and £7.95 each for a well presented and plentiful breakfast. The hotel is very safe the card you are given allows entry to the lifts and your room. We had a wheelchair friendly room with a large rollin shower. The beds were made up as singles but we asked if that could be changed and with the 15 minute policy this was done for us. It is this hotels policy to offer theses rooms in single bed formation so remember to ask if you want a double like me. the room was bright and airy with tea and coffee making facilities. The room was very clean and the beds with the new mattresses very comfortable. An air conditioner/ heating system is there for you to change, it takes a little figuring out but after that you can get comfy. The only draw back is that the rooms are not very good where sound proofing is concerned. You can hear water running down pipes of adjacent rooms. We were unlucky on our final night of our 3 night stay in that our neighbours in the room next door were still very much awake at 3.30am. After a polite knock on the wall this ended and an hour later I was able to get back off to sleep. Apart from this this is a clean and comfortable hotel and well placed for shops and the sea front. Also the doubled glazing is very good, our room faced the busy road at the front of the hotel and we were not at all disturbed by the traffic. Breakfast is self service and has a buffet of fresh juices, fruit, continental style food and hot food consisting of bacon, scrambled eggs, beans, tomatoes, hash browns and sausages. Breads and a toaster is there for your use. Plentiful coffee from a machine is available as well as teas and infusions. Even a bowl of fresh fruit like apples, bananas and oranges is there for you. A good choice a a bargain price for such a generous spread. The hotel is dog friendly and we only had to pay £5 for our dog to stay with us there. In fact we had a shopping day and did not have our room serviced. During the evening someone left a bag of towels on the door in case we needed fresh ones. Nice touch , look out for the client. Will definitely stay again at this hotel as it suited our needs for s short break back in this great place.

Room Tip: Remember to ask for your bed to be made as a double if you are using the wheelchair friendly rooms i...

Recently stayed at Hotel Ibis in Brighton. I'd rate the experience very high. It's not a luxury chain, but don't think it's trying to be. It's economical, streamlined, clean and simple - no minibar or safe in the hotel room, but that wasn't a problem for me. Tea, coffee and wifi included. Meals are available downstairs (and can be taken back to your room) 24 hours a day.

Room was very reasonably priced, plus the hotel, I was told by staff, is only four months old - new and clean, with wooden floors and crisp white linens. The bed and pillow were both very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was excellent.

Also, it is extremely well located - very near the train station and the North Laines. The Royal Pavilion was maybe a 10 minute walk. Not as close to the water as some other hotels if that's your thing, but for our purposes, it was great.

So all good points, but probably the best thing was the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff - Leo and Alberto were both stand-outs on the evening shift.

Also, check-in and check-out were both conveniently at 12noon.

In terms of a sort of wish list, it'd be nice to have a safe in the room and more importantly and more immediate, I would have liked to have a slide lock on the inside of the room for added sense of security.

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experiences online. I was very happy to read that you enjoyed every aspect of your stay, made all the more memorable by Leo and Alberto. I will be sharing this with them and the rest of the team to continue to motivate them to deliver a consistenly good level of service. With regards to the slide lock, we do have a double lock facility, which was most probably hidden by the DND sign hanging on the door handle. I have also noted your feedback regarding the safe and would like to highlight that we do offer 5 safes down in reception for guest use. Thank you once again for the review and rating us with 5 stars. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back to the hotel soon. Kindest regards, Dominic Sauls

After lots of hotel searching for a reasonable price we came across the Ibis. Being so close to the station and about a 5-10 minute walk to the main restaurants and shopping areas the location was perfect. Checking-in took a little longer than I expected but the staff were very friendly and when we had an issue with the key card not working they got sorted immediately. The room itself was good, what you expect from a hotel such as this, very clean yet with some unique and fun decor (the same throughout the hotel and the lift areas, made it feel different and a lot nicer). The massive bonus was the comfort of the bed, it was the best bed we have ever slept in while away, incredibly comfortable, so much so that it was really hard to leave it and get up! Also, the little touches such as 3 different varieties of tea was lovely. The only downside was the fact that it was quite hot during the night as the temperature control only seemed to go down to 18c and the windows do not open very far at all (I know this is health and safety as we were on the 8th floor but they didn't open wider than an inch). Overall we would stay here again as it was good value for money.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments online. It is always a pleasure to read such feedback, although I was disappointed you were left slightly uncomfortable by the temperature in the room. I have since tasked my housekeeping and maintenance team to ensure that all of the air conditioning units are in good working order. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Kindest regards, Dominic Sauls

A new Ibis close to Brighton railway station and convenient for shops, bars, restaurants and about 15 min walk from the sea front. On the back of the hotel, rooms overlook Brighton and are very quiet. Clean and modern with an excellent breakfast for £7.95. Downsides are that the room was a bit hot, and the air-conditioning noisy, although windows opened. There was quite a lot of noise at night from slamming bathroom doors (unfortunately this is inherent in their design). The free Wi-Fi signal was very erratic (even if it's free at least make it usable) and, most importantly, the room was not serviced during a two-night stay (and nor was the one next door). Parking relatively nearby in Trafalgar Street.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to feed back to us via Tripadvisor. Although I very much appreciated the comments regarding the breakfast and the overall cleanliness of the hotel, I was disappointed to read that we failed to clean two rooms over a two day period. Please rest assured that I have already shared this review with the housekeeping team to affect immediate practices to ensure that no rooms are overlooked for servicing and utilise the procedures in place when guests leave the DND notices hanging outside their room. I would also like to highlight that we have an agreement with the car park on North Rd, which is the same distance, where guests benefit from a much more preferable rate than the Trafalgar Street Car park. Thank you once again for your comments and I sincerely hope you will give us the opportunity of welcoming you back so that you may experience the changes first hand. Kindest regards, Dominic Sauls
