Millards is certainly that! It's just over the road from the pier and big wheel and 5 minutes’ walk from the lanes. Upon arrival Tony showed us where to park and then showed us to our room, which was a king size double and the room was absolutely beautiful, with a big bay window giving us a lovely view of the big wheel and pier. For £75 it was certainly a bargain! The room was spotlessly clean, with nice white sheets and a lovely comfy bed, not too soft from over use and the bathroom again was spotless and the shower, we had ample hot water. For breakfast we were given lots of choices but we opted for the full English, which we were given Cumberland sausages and thick bacon, all beautifully cooked, not greasy! Brown toast, earl grey tea and fresh orange, which was not tangy! No expense spared! Tony was the perfect host and we will certainly stay with Tony again and recommend him to our family and friends! And would like to wish him well for the future!

Room Tip: Opt for a king size double at the front of the hotel, which has a balcony, plasma screen TV and mini...

Just got back from Millards today, this was our second visit, as Tony the owner had made such a big impression on us the first time with his friendly outgoing manner. I`ve just read some of the previous reviews on here and my girlfriend and i are deeply shocked at some of the tripe that people are writing!!! I mean come on people, this is ridiculous, we BOTH couldn`t have felt more welcome on BOTH occasions, Tony is a very laid back type of guy with a wicked sense of humour, you`d have to be extremely straight laced to take offence, but if you are that sort of person and are void of a sense of humour then don`t go there, it`s as simple as that. Michelle made us a lovely breakfast, that was just the right amount to start the day. The position is perfect and for the cost i just can`t understand how anyone can grumble. We will definitely be returning and will be recommending Millards to family and friends,

Upon arrival, Tony met us and gave us a warm welcome and greeting he also
advised us where to park.  He then took us into the accommodation and showed
us around, breakfast area ect and booked us in. He then led us to our room
which was clean and tidy, everything you would expect in a b&b.  The room
was warm but he had already opened the window and had a fan running for us.
Overall the room was very clean and tidy and had tea/coffee facilities,
toiletries and towels provided for us. There was a small fridge in the room
with items you could purchase if you wished but you could also put your own
items in as well.  The bathroom was clean overall but the shower cubicle
needed a good clean, lime scale/mould etc, plug chain missing etc. Room was
serviced and tidied the following day.  Breakfast was extremely good, we had
a full English both days which was a good standard and served by a warm and
friendly Tony.  We had plenty of options, tea/coffee together with
orange/apple juice plus toast and an arrangement of spreads/jams etc.  We
stayed for two nights mid-week and had a great time.  The location was spot
on, next to the front and the nightlife. We had the window open each night
and it was very quiet, just far away enough from the clubs/bars so as not to
cause annoyance.  Tony was very helpful when asked the best places to go,
where to avoid etc and gave us a heads up on what to expect. We would
definitely stay here again, well done Tony :)

We could have had a little more info in our room, wifi code (didn't bother
ourselves as we had a dongle) etc but this was all found out from asking
Tony and he was happy to oblige.
We had a key to the front door and could come and go as we pleased, we also
had Tony's mobile number in case we needed anything, which he said we could
use and call him at any time.
We paid upon leaving and Tony was happy with this arrangement, we will be
back to this lovely little place by the sea!

Stayed at Millards Hotel for two nights. Had a wonderful time. Location was great, found Tony to be a friendly and amiable host and breakfast was lovely. The ambiance of the hotel was very relaxed, everybody was friendly and was perfect for what we wanted. The room suited our needs and loved the shower. Everything was in easy walking distance and did not have to use the car, which made a nice change. Would definitely stay again when next in Brighton.

Room Tip: Lovely sea view if you are allocated top room.

We really wish we had read ALL the reviews, even going 3 years back, about this mananger Tony of Millards( we have read he claims to be the owner but is just the caretaker ).Such a Dangerous man, that my wife and I didnt even get the chance to even see our room ! Tony, who runs the place, took an INSTANT dislike to my wife even before meeting us because like MANY others say in reviews this man seems to have something against females. Others have also stated that he has accused them of being racist, but its actually him that seems to be racist against woman/ couples. He had a major attitude with us upon arriving, so we asked to get our money back so we could go stay in a nice place where we were treated with respect but he refused ( we have also read that he has a pattern of getting all your money upfront so he can abuse his guests!!) . he then told us we were not welcome in his " house" because we had problems with the way he was so rude and aggressive to us both!! he then got MORE aggressive by getting in both our faces with threats .... we evenually had to call the cops on him for our own safety . I have never in my whole life of traveling , encountered such behavior as this at a so - called "HOTEL"!!! Bottom line, what is supposed to be a vacation ended up a nightmare, READ ALL THE REVIEWS before !!

Millards is in a fabulous location, situated near most attractions and Brighton City Centre. During our stay Tony and his staff were very accommodating, friendly and courteous. The room was exactly what we expected after researching numerous sites. Well done Michelle with breakfast, fast and just what you need to start the day with. We would recommend Millards Hotel and hope to be back in the future.

I stayed here with my son whilst looking for a student place for him in Brighton. What a fab B & B - better than some hotels I've stayed in. We had a lovely room, airy, bright, clean & well appointed. Beds were lovely & comfortable with matching covers. Ensuite bathroom was clean with guest basket on each bed with toiletries & nice towels. It was a hot day when we got there and the window had been opened and a fan put in the room. TV & Kettle with tea, coffee etc. Then a really lovely breakfast. My son had a cooked one which was obviously grilled rather than sloshing in grease, & I had cereal & croissant. The owner Tony was friendly & helpful. All in all a lovely stay & definitely will be recommending this to friends & family for future visits! Near to the centre of things too!

Room Tip: We had a twin, ground floor room. Dining room is downstairs so you need to be able to do that althou...
