“What a treat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012 via mobile

Amazing little cafe! Between four of us we had a selection of cakes; an eclair, two macaroons, an opera cake and a raspberry and almond tart! All perfect! Service and staff made us feel comfortable, looked after and special! I think we were lucky to get a table. I highly reccomend!

“Not what it seems, the patisserie looks good but is badly baked imitation with cheap ingredients”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012 via mobile

This place promises a lot but the patisserie is of the lowest quality. I had what looked like a pecan and almond tart in a brisee shell . The pastry was not brisee but a plain one ( not sweet or at all short) and the filling was just nuts in some marmalade. Seriously! Awful. My friend had a meringue. It was dry as a bone right through. I think they are only interested in tourists who probably expect to be ripped off

“Oh La La”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

I've visited cocoa time and time again, sometimes just to pick up the best croissants, cakes or pastries in Brighton, or to take a seat (which isnt always possible as its a popular little cafe) and enjoy homemade soup and a coffee.

They have recently embraced the world of macaroons and I made the fatal mistake of buying a box of 8...they lasted 5 minutes.

I love everything about this little gem of a cafe, its a liitle slice of Paris on my doorstep.

“Tasty breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

Small cafe near the main rail station. Lovely French inspired food and great coffee. Had an omelette and OH a more substantial meal. Would go again.

“Meringues & Macaroons galore!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

It's hard to walk past the window of this patisserie, mounds of mulitcoloured meringues and french biscuits fill the window display. What a lovely little gem of a place, great atmosphere and lovely french speaking staff. Go!
