“Great Coffee”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

There are only a handful of places to get great coffee in Brighton, and this is one of them. They know their coffee - right temperature, silky milk, nice latte art, even on the cappuccino's. Food ok, service could be better as no one bothered with goodbyes or thank you, and considering that the door is right in front of the counter - you'd expect someone could at least try. However, the coffee is worth going back for.

“Ideal Coffee Break in the City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

On a shopping trip into the centre of Brighton we decided to try the Small Batch Coffee Company as we were in the vicinity of Jubilee Street. Our son has a passion for good coffee and has always claimed it's the best ! It was a busy lunchtime,a 'buzzy' but not 'fraught' atmosphere. We were greeted with a genuine smile, given time to decide, and then served fairly quickly after finding a seat.My cappucino was rich and creamy,my husband loved his hot chocolate ('definitely not from a tin!' he commented) Our toasted rolls were good too, lovely bread, crusty on the outside. The high stools were not really for the very short or elderly!! But at 60 we could still manage them! A great atmosphere and superb coffee.

“Perfect start to a morning in Brighton”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013 via mobile

I visit Brighton a fair bit and this is always a good place to start the day. The coffee is gorgeous, the food delicious, and the atmosphere good. On a rainy day it's perfect to sit inside and watch the world go by. Strange to think it's attached to the lobby of a boutique hotel but I guess it's a good match. Next time I go I intend to try to syphon bar pressed coffee.
