“Good modern stadium. Comfortable and good conference facilities.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2014

I have visited the stadium for both footbal matches and the conference facilities for business meetings.
The entrance gates are a little confusing and could be better signposted however that is a minor fault because the experience gets much better once you are inside.
The seats in the entire stadium are padded and comfortable. They are clearly marked and have goo dlegroom (I am 6'5 so it helps!).
The food and drink areas are spacious although can get crowded depending on crowd / attendance. You will get served as the service is usually quick, you just have to be patient!
The food and drink are quite expensive although the food (pies etc) is good quality and they sell the local brew, Harveys Best bitter which is great.
The conference facilities are good. Air conditioned, comfortable rooms, toilets and tea and coffee facilities. The Heineken bar area is spacious, well kitted out with ample seating and even some table football games. Visiting the bar area in winter can be very cold although the actual meeting rooms are warm.
There are doors to terrace seating from most conference rooms.

“Not quite ready for concerts yet in the security area.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2014

I recently attended The Rod Stewart concert at the stadium which was fantastic and he put 100percent into the event. The downside of the night was how poor the security was in making sure the cheaper seats people stayed away from the the expensive seats area. Instead of having a proffessional crew their they had middle aged women trying to direct people back to there own seats who although they had security written on there jackets people were not taking any notice of them. Also the selection and price of wine was outrageous cheap plonk which was worth about £1.50 was on sale for £20.00 . I would go again as the stadium is fabulous and best place in Brighton to see a concert of that standard but they need to up there game in security and refreshments.

“Good atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2014

Such a nice spacious stadium! Really enjoyed going to watch a football match, the services were really quick on the interval of the game. However, I went there for a concert and the service was just appalling, 1 hour in the queue for a pint!

“Brilliant Rod - Appalling organisation”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2014

Loved Rod - but will never go to the Amex again! Lovely stadium, comfortable seats, and good view for us in the North stand. However, as with other comments, the catering was appalling - the food ran out leaving plenty of baps but nothing to put in them; not enough loos for the girls which you would have thought would have been a priority; and the exit arrangements were truly dangerous - crowds of people pushed and shunted to a railway station which couldn't cope with the number of people; and park and ride buses that were either full or didn't/couldn't even get access, leaving hordes walking along a busy dangerous dual carriageway in the dark. A friend of mine with a husband with impaired vision was left with bruises on her arms where he was clinging on to her in desperation, trying to find a way back to the town. If it wasn't for the kind heart of an off duty bus driver, they and many others could have been involved in a serious incident. You need to sort this out Brighton!
