“A pleasant stroll”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

Away from the noise and bustle of the local coast road traffic the undercliff walk makes for a pleasant way to enjoy an afternoon stroll. You can walk from Brighton Marina to Saltdean, if you so choose, but you can drop off to collect public transport back to your starting point at several points along the way, or turn round and retrace your steps.
NOT recommended on a stormy day though - unless you don't mind getting wet!

“Blow the cobwebs away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012

A great walk from the hotel, very clean and lots to do along the way for individuals and families ie bike rides, bars, cafes, play areas, mini golf, electric railway. We walked all the way along and came up near the main road into the Kemptown area which was a good way to arrive there avoiding the main road/traffic up top.

“Lovely walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2012

A lovely walk all the way down to Ovingdean and then Rottingdean. The concrete walkway is rather ugly, but perfectly practical to walk on. Very nice to be able to look out to see, and good that the cars are out of sight and out of earshot above the cliff. My only complaint would be that there is no designated cycle lane. While I was walking here I did see a cyclist ride right into a small child. It was clear that the cyclist was simply going much too fast to stop and did not anticipate the child's movements and swerve to avoid her. She was then rather abusive towards the child's parents, and not at all apologetic. There are signs stating that pedestrians have priority, but this was not really enough. Anyway, overall an excellent part of our visit.

“nice walk”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

Walked many times, and it has some good views on a clear day. If raining can be a good dog walk without getting muddy! You also have brighton marina overlooking it.
