“Heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

I already fell in love with the apartment at Embassy Court when I saw the photos for the first time. After booking it I could hardly wait to get there. Often, when expectations are that high, you're going to be disappointed. Not so in this case. Everything was even better than expected. When I entered the apartment I was surrounded by light and brightness (I was really lucky with the weather!), and I immediately felt welcome and at home. I felt like this every single time I opened the door to the apartment, and I was looking forward to going "home" every day of my two-week stay. At this point I should perhaps mention that Brighton and Hove have so much to offer that you could stay there for weeks without wishing to get back inside. But Embassy Court is situated in the perfect spot, right between Brighton and Hove, and convenient to walk to every place you could imagine. Great restaurants, cafès, shops and supermarkets are literally just around the corner, as are bus stops and of course the beach! When you stay at Embassy Court you can enjoy the busy life in a great city and yet, within a minute, you can be up in heaven, in a peaceful and quiet apartment at eye level with the seagulls.
The bathroom and kitchen are much bigger than you expect from the photos and extremely well equipped. Everything is new and shiny and spotlessly clean, and the whole apartment is very tastefully furnished. Sheets and towels are provided, and as I was staying for two weeks I was even offered a fresh set of towels for the second week. And the bed was very, very comfortable! The giant flatscreen TV is much better than the one we have at home and allows you to watch hundreds of channels. Theoretically, because in practice you will only want to look outside and enjoy the amazing sea view! By the way, most reviews forget to mention that there is also a fabulous view over Brighton and Hove from the rear!
What also made staying at this apartment such a joy was the fact that the whole booking, arriving and checking-in-process was so simple, and dealing with the owner, Olivia, was always a pleasure. She responds to every question you might have within hours or even minutes and is extremely friendly. The same is true for Haley who greeted me on arrival and showed me around. Thank you both very much!
I could go on for hours praising the apartment, but who wants to read such long reviews? There is only one last thing I would like to point out: the apartment is also heaven for everybody who is interested in modern architecture. Embassy Court is a landmark of Modernist architecture which has been restored to its original beauty only recently. It's a joy just to walk through the gorgeous entrance door, and if you let yourself in for it, a stay at Embassy Court can even take you back in time. Heaven indeed!

“A magical weekend away!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Classic style with a modern twist, [--] is probably the coolest place we've stayed.
Great location, right on the seafront and perfect for us as my wife and I were both doing the marathon.

Olivia's customer service is excellent, nothing was too much trouble and she made sure we had everything we needed for our 6 month old son. We only wished we could have stayed longer!

“Excellent apartment in good position.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

When my wife and I arrived at the apartment block we quickly made contact and were shown our parking spot and given the keys to the apartment. Everything was clean, modern and immaculately prepared.
The apartment is situated on the tenth floor facing south so it has a spectacular view out to the sea. There is access from the lounge to the balcony so you can see the beach and the remnants of the west pier across the road.
The bedroom is snug but has a very comfortable bed and a flat-screen TV. Bathroom is immaculate. The lounge is spacious and comfortable with a larger TV.
The kitchen has everything you need, but we did not use anything except the kettle, toaster and fridge. There are so many restaurants in the vicinity we always ate out.
The location of the apartment was perfect for us, with a reasonable walk to the main pier, the Pavilion and Museum, the Lanes shopping and the North Lanes. It was far enough away to be quiet but still accessible to the centre. After walking around the Pavilion and the shops it was perfect sitting on the balcony in the late afternoon sun!

We found the apartment to be excellent, decorated to a very high standard and maintained very well. We were very impressed and are considering going back again sometime in the future. The owner Olivia was very organised and made sure everything was OK for us. (The return of the deposit was also made very quickly.)

“On top of the world”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

We stayed here for a romantic 4 night getaway in March, and whatever the time of the time of day, whatever the weather, the view was ever-changing and always spectacular. The building is an original and immaculately restored art deco gem and the penthouse itself feels light and airy by day and intimate and glamorous by night. Stylishly and comfortably furnished, well equipped, and charmingly managed by the owner Olivia, I really cannot recommend this place highly enough. Anywhere else I've ever stayed in Brighton pales by comparison, and every moment we stayed here we really did feel like we were "on top of the world!"

“truly special seaview apartment in beautiful art deco building in Brighton-”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

This is a really special apartment- in a fantastic location- just opposite the seafront and it has a very sweet balcony in which to enjoy the scene. the spec inside is very high and in very good taste. The owners have been extremely thoughtful- in providing everything and more to make your stay a very comfortable one. It really feels like a home from home and is very well loved. It is a joy to stay in and I look forward to another stay [--] very much indeed!

“Experience Brighton like a local”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Just returned home from a 3 night stay at the Penthouse apartment in Embassy Court, Brighton. What a fantastic gem of a place. Olivia couldnt have been more helpful and welcoming from start to finish. It was so easy to pick up the keys and the apartment had everything you could need for a short stay away from home. The balcony does make it as even in the January temperatures you could spend ages out there just people watching the world below. Fantastic views. The apartment, whilst compact and bijou, is so much more relaxing than staying in a hotel, and you get to experience everyday life in Brighton, The building is clearly steeped in history and it is in a perfect location to explore this part of the South Coast.

“Simply Stunning!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013 for a stay in December 2013

I have just returned home after a 4 night stay here and have to stay, it was absolutely wonderful. Olivia was very helpful right from the start, that I just knew I would enjoy staying there.

Obviously a lot of thought has gone into anticipating what would make the guests feel comfortable, which made it feel like home! All of the furniture was of a high spec and the décor has been maintained to a high standard. But for me the sea views were what made this apartment extra special. I will never forget waking up to see the sun rising and a clear blue sky. Everyone who lives in this iconic Art Deco block are lovely and will happily pass the time of day with you.

I am already co-ordinating my work schedule to book a return visit next year!
