“Can't fault this place. Amazing.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

It is what is is - a small, informal establishment but is done to perfection.

Best bread
Best staff
Best cakes
Unbelievable quiches!!

Get there early to avoid disappointment.

Would recommend this quirky and cool patisserie over and over again.

“Best bread in Brighton”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

Easily the best bread on Brighton. Sourdough is the best thing ever and the real patisserie knows how to make it perfectly! Yum real patisserie, I salute you!

“A little gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

Fabulous range of home baked breads. Wonderful pastries and savoury snacks freshly made. There is a smallish communal table for eating inside. Well worth the effort to visit Kemptown village. Friendly french staff. You will not be disappointed.

“Love the breads!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

By far the best breads in Sussex! We have been known (since they stopped having their stall at Farmers Markets) to come all the way to Kemptown from Worthing just to get their Chewy Brown, Walnut bread, Sourdough or pastries.

Recently opened up in Shoreham, but the staff nowhere near as friendly/helpful as in Kemptown . Also, the lack of tables/seating at the Shoreham shop is a problem! We went for breakfast at the weekend, and they only have two small tables and four chairs (apart from a small high-counter with bar stools, which are un-useable for us!). Luckily, one of the tables was free, but only one seat was available, as the first table had borrowed one of the chairs to seat their party of three. So, we asked the female staff-member for another seat. but were told they don't have any, so that meant only one of us could sit down, leaving us with no choice but to go somewhere else.

Wish they would provide some better customer seating! REALLY wish they would open up in Worthing too - we're desperate here for a proper (bread) bakery!!

“Fantastic Cakes and Patisseries”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

Had New Year's eve dinner with friends and collected some cakes and patisseries for dessert. French owner was very amicable and all the cakes looked and tasted great (especially the Paris-Brest). The Macaroons were much bigger and cheaper than Cocoa, 80p compared to £1.30ish (which is also a very nice place to eat)
