I stayed here for one night and overall the experience was very good - the room was small but had all the necessities, and the hotel owner Mark could not have been more accommodating. The hotel is in a great location very close to most of Brighton's clubs, bars and restaurants.
The room was a double with a small en suite (shower) bathroom, and Molton Brown toiletries. It was a bit of a squeeze with two people in there.
The bedroom was cleanly and stylishly decorated, with contemporary art on the walls, DVD, CD and TV, Wi-Fi, and slippers/robes for use which is nice. The room was clean throughout but some of the decor was starting to show its age a little bit. Overall though, the impression was light and modern.
One of my highlights was the wonderful breakfast, brought to your room; try the fresh fruit salad and pain au chocolat - they're delicious! There was a range of the usual continental options, but all were good quality, including coffee from the excellent Red Roaster coffeehouse 5 mins down the road. Your choice of newspaper will come with your brekkie if requested.
I didn't pay the full standard room rate as this was booked online, so for the price I was very happy with my stay. However, if I were intending to stay for more than a couple of nights I think space would become an issue, as the room was rather small, and the bathroom would quickly become a warzone.
