“Brighton encapsulated, just brilliant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

A quirky cafe owned by musicians. Truly delicious food and a great range of drinks. Jane Bom-Bane and all staff were hugely welcoming and there was no pressure to leave. Extremely entertaining - mechanical tables which do different things, songs, stories, crosswords and wall art. Would definitely, definitely, definitely go back.

“A secret gem of a cafe/restaurant/music/entertainment venue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

Some places are just too good to share - but having been coming here for almost seven years, it's time to let the world know how good this place really is. Located 5 mins from the Royal Pavillion or Pier its easy to find & I agree with all the previous reviews, Bom Banes & Jane are totally unique & capture the true essence of Brighton. I have always had the most wonderful evening here & what is so amazing about Bom Banes, is that I always leave feeling that the world is a wonderful place & that Brighton is the best place ever! The food is homely cooking & extremely good value (Especially the Waffles!) & there is a good selection of beer & wine. It's a small very intimate venue, which totally comes into its own when there is music, entertainment or a film downstairs. I highly recommend, you check out their website to see who is playing, enjoy a lovely meal there & then head down the spiral staircase to be entertained...Truly Brighton at its unique Best.

“Bonkers Brighton at it's best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013 via mobile

Jane Bom Bane is a legend and I'd say if you've not been to Bom Banes bonkers Brighton bistro with a Belgian twist you've missed a trick.
Goldfish bowl on my head? All that and more besides. It's indescribable cabaret, Bon homie, sausages and more. Go as a couple or in a group - book in advance you won't be disappointed. I love this place and I've visited 4 times with friends family and a work group. Every time a great experience.
Love the waffle dessert too!
