There are three main problems. The first is that it is very expensive, the second is that there were only four revolutions and thirdly, the views are actually very poor and limited.
The inevitable comparison is with the London Eye which is obviously extremely unfair as that has an amazing city to look at from above.
The Brighton wheel suffers from the fact that it is very low down, the bulk of the views are simply of the sea and the Brighton skyline has very little to offer and most of the coastal views can be seen just as well from Marine Parade.
Add in the incredibly annoying photographers who are constantly pestering "all you guys" to pay to have their photo taken and it was a regrettable experience all round and a complete waste of money.
The only good thing about the wheel is that it brightens up the seafront when it is lit at night!
