“On top of the world”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013

We stayed at Nightingales, the excellent B&B in Kingston and went for a walk for a couple of hours up to the South Downs Way and then along it.

There were a lot of butterflies and other insects and the walk itself, along the ridge made you feel you were on top of the world.

We started by walking towards Brighton and after an hour or so returned coming down to the village by a different chalky (and steep!) path. It certainly got rid of the cobwebs and the rain stayed off.

“Walking and found a tea rooms in middle of nowhere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

Lovely walk with dog. Found a tea "rooms" which was outdoors in a National Trust farm. It was near the Devils Dyke....... We had come from a different direction and it was like finding an oasis. Desperate for a cuppa, it was a gem!

“Sussex the hard way.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Solid walking with many good views of the Sussex countryside and seaside. Some good pubs to enjoy a leisurely drink over a hefty Ploughman's snack or cooked meal. See the precipitous slopes around the Devil's Dyke and enjoy villages such as Fulking. Watch the gliders near Fyrle Beacon. Trace the white outline of the Long Man of Wilmington.
