Don't like the fact the council have started charging visitors 50p for parking here now. It used to be free to park, however I guess it is worth it, it is a nice big green space within a very busy metropolis. Somewhere to go to breath in clean air and get some peace from the office environment. The rotunda cafe in the park is not too dear and does nice breakfasts and coffees. Shame they permit dogs in there but I suppose it is a park so I won't bark at them for it. The roses in the summer time fill the air with their sweet perfume and are a riot of colour. Very nice sight to see. Shame they have not cleaned out the little pond for I don't know how long. I am surprised that the newts and fish in it even are able to breathe.
